July 21, 2013

Good afternoon! Yesterday was an absolutely perfect day & that was WITH going on a med call & then sitting around playing Sims for hours to fill the time. Yep, yesterday was perfect. I made eggs over easy for breakfast, dusted & set the clock on my nightstand, made sure the Inkle loom page on my Website still worked, tried to figure out why the Active911 app on my iPad Mini & iPhone 5 will only work on 1 at
a time but not BOTH, then Active911 went off as I was messing w/ it so I went on the med call, came back & went through the mail, swept the bathroom, checked my LizC864@Outlook.com email & ended going on a shopping spree at ThinkGeek.com, made mozzarella sticks for lunch, took the dogs out, surfed Pinterest for a while, did the dishes, cooked a beef roast in the slow cooker for dinner, & once I was trapped in
the house for the evening the tones went off again for a locked vehicle. Yesterday's Sims game was the Art Appraiser career & while the beef roast was in the slow cooker & I was waiting for Pete to get home & be ready for dinner, I played. I got my Sim Lewis ALL the way though 3 terms at the university & he started his career as Art Appraiser. The poor guy isn't doing well though. There are too many things that he has to do in a day & not enough hours to do them all. He went to work on Monday morning, came home, paid the bills, spent time w/ his dog (you have to or they take the pets away from you & you can't get any more EVER), cooked dinner, ate dinner, did the dishes, took a shower, & now it was late & he was exhausted. He wasn't able to get a full night's sleep & then had to do the same thing every day all the way through to Friday. Add to that having to clean the sink & counter tops once a week, the shower broke, etc. By Friday night he was almost dead ... poor guy. He's going to spend most of Saturday sleeping. Working on his skills doesn't look promising in this game. In whatever free time he has (HAHAHA!), he has to "Scan Artwork" to improve his job performance. So far he hasn't had ANY time to do that. Probably ONLY on Sundays since Saturdays will be spent catching up on sleep. I'm guessing he needs a computer to do that job & so far he hasn't been able to afford one. I don't like using cheats in the game & I already had to use one to send him to the university because it was over $3k & he didn't even have that much after buying a small starter house that was completely unfurnished. After getting back from the university he had to use whatever money he made on weekends painting & sculpting to buy a tiny table to eat at, a cheap chair to sit in at the table, & a cheap single bed. Starting out in life is difficult & without the cheats he would be working some random job just to save money to go to the university since the Art Appraiser career can ONLY be had by university graduates in the Fine Arts degree. I still don't like using cheats though. I guess I can contribute that one to his parents paying for his college. Since it's a brand new game & he's 1st gen, I'm calling them his assumed parents. :) This afternoon & took the dogs out & started up the Culinary career game in Sims (1st & 2nd pics). My current Sim is a child, so no university yet. He's going to work on his cooking skill on the toy stove in his free time until he ages up into a teen & can use the real stove & then watch the cooking channel on TV to improve that skill. Hopefully he can get enough skill under his belt before he becomes an adult so that most of his university tuition will be paid for in the terms of a scholarship AND he will only have to go for 2 terms instead of the usual 3. LCFD Training on Tuesday!
