July 15, 2013

Good afternoon! Yesterday started out with Kyle's birthday breakfast at Denny's (1st pic). When we got home I made sure the breakfast link on my Website was current w/ backgrounds, but that's not the current page anymore due to the new schedule. The NEW breakfast page is fully integrated into the schedule page itself, making the old one obsolete. I'll be deleting the old one now. I worked on my Quilt Crochet: Caron (2nd pic), checked My AT&T page, & then Pete & I went grocery shopping & I stocked up on Hostess Cupcakes, Donettes (both flavors), & Twinkies. On the way home I had a banana for lunch. After putting the groceries away I took the dogs out & then Pete & I settled down in front of the TV & I worked on my Bavarian Crochet: Caron (my favorite of all my projects). Yesterday's Sims game was LizC864 3 & my Sim Faith is in the university w/ an apprentice phys ed
award & is working on skills & going to classes. Today is going to be another great day! So far I've taken the dogs out & paid bills for this paycheck. LCFD business meeting tomorrow evening at 7:p for all members who can make it. My new schedule is looking promising, I make it past lunch now even on days where I sleep very late & things go slowly. That means that if I ever DO manage to get to bed early enough to get up early, I'll do great & will have time to do things like to go meetings again. I really miss the FD, time was NOT my friend the past year or so ... looks like that's all going to change for the better
now. Speaking of the FD, the 3rd pic was taken by 1st Response Photography ... it's by far one of my FAVORITE pics of our department. This is our Rescue 6533 en route to a call yesterday morning & I believe our Assistant Chief 6502 was driving. GREAT SHOT! Hopefully w/ the new schedule going as well as it is, & if Pete can start getting to bed earlier which would mean I start getting up earlier, I can start making calls again & be IN that truck again soon instead of just seeing it in photos.

Auguste Rodin's famous sculpture The Thinker was originally named The Poet, & depicted Dante in front of the Gates of Hell, pondering his great poem.

I love Tobby. I really do, & he's a good sport ... but he's not a high-profile guy. Tommy has a terrible problem. Every time he lies down to take a nap, he wakes up & there's a tag on his shoe.

Insert uninspiring messages into the refrigerated bag lunches. (A suggestion: "Boy, it sucks to be a drone, doesn't it?")
