Just 20 views away from hitting 3,000 views in a single month! I've already broken my personal record for views in 1 month, now with your help I may break the 3k mark! I didn't get much done yesterday, but I sure had fun! I chatted w/ Pete, had bran flakes for breakfast, cleaned the televisions, cleaned out my AOL e-mail, surfed Pinterest, & then machine knitted for the

next 11 hours. I decided on a project (2nd pic), got all the yarn rounded up, & started knitting. I couldn't help myself, I was enjoying myself so much that I just kept going until Pete got home from work. I know I promised myself no more fancy stitch patterns because they take longer on the knitting machine than they do when I knit by hand, but this pattern is SO pretty & it doesn't take me too long to do on the machine. The 1st panel is almost 3' long (1st pic). The thin light blue panels shown are instead going to be a variegated color & have no fancy stitch pattern, so they'll go MUCH faster. This afghan is going to be SO beautiful! I did realize that I need a nicer chair in my crafting room. I'm using one of our old dining room chairs & sitting on a wooden chair with no wheels & no padding for 11 hours hurts! When I can, I'm going to get another nice computer chair for the crafting room. Maybe even swap out my current office chair & put it in the crafting room & put the brand new one in my office ... it depends on the chair I get. Anyway, I'm very happy with my new knitting machine project! The FD had a down power line call yesterday. Yesterday's Sims game was - PEACE - & my Sim Michael is in the university working on his skills. This morning I took the dogs out & started up the Inventor game in Sims 3. My Sim Lewis is in the university. Tomorrow is August! The hottest month of the year is upon us. Stay cool, stay safe, hydrate, & don't do any unnecessary outdoor projects. There's no need to give yourself heat stroke over a flower bed that can wait until fall or spring.

Ask your child what he wants for dinner only if he's buying.

Don't worry about unloading your troubles on a dear friend, especially if you're loaded. The words come out much easier after a cocktail or 3 & you can claim amnesia later on.
