is, but just purchased the age-freeze potion w/ her surplus of lifetime happiness points that she has due to the fact that as a child she mastered a BUNCH of skills. It only takes her about 1 day to master a skill. She's smart & special. When she enrolled in the university she had a full scholarship in her choice of 5 out of 6 of the majors. She's been going to classes & no surprise, doing great. Kyle turns 17 on Sunday & receives his sock. If you get that reference, you & Kyle have a lot in common & you should

look him up on facebook. Other than that I'm still waiting for packages & a phone call. Will be excited when each package arrives & I sure hope that phone call comes in! If it doesn't by the end of the week, I'll call them just to follow up & then go ahead & apply elsewhere if I don't get an interview. I already know where I'm applying next. Kyle has a big day today. After being in Cub Scouts / Boy Scouts since he was old enough to join, he may not get his Eagle now because of the trouble he's gotten into. That would be horrible. A

lifetime of membership only to have the end goal lost because of mistakes he's made. This is one of those hard lessons in life. He goes before a board today that will decide if he can get his Eagle or not. It's hard for me, because I want some parts of both outcomes. If he doesn't get it, then he'll clearly see that his actions DO have consequences & maybe ... just maybe he'll realize the gravity of his choices & make better ones from now on. On the other hand, I'd hate to see him not get his Eagle. 

This is a permanent decision. If they say no, it's not like he can go back & get it later. You have to have it before your 18th birthday or it's over for life & as it is he's BARELY going to squeak in under the limit. He's been working towards his Eagle for a decade now & that title WILL make a difference in his adult life. It DOES mean something out there in the real world. As I was typing this blog, UPS arrived w/ my book (Oh Myyy! There Goes the Internet - by George Takei)! I did a quick flip-thru & already it's one of the best books I've ever bought. I love it! I can't wait to actually have the time to sit down & start reading it!
