Kyle's 17th Birthday 2013

Good afternoon! What's this? A SUNDAY blog? Why yes it is. With the weekly schedule gone & only a daily view now, blogging 6 days a week turned into EVERY day or once every couple of months. I opted to add that last day of the week into the mix rather than just disappear. Since this is my blog, my therapy, my outlet ... it stays full time. Yesterday was the 1st full day of my new schedule. It was great! I did so many cool things that I didn't normally do every day. It was nice to no longer be in that deep rut I had gotten stuck in for so long. I even made it way past lunch, something I couldn't do before it seems. Yesterday after getting the mail I made ham & eggs for breakfast, scrubbed the shower, went to Academy & got myself a cute summer dress (1st pic), came home & cleaned out my pen collection in the closet by getting rid of all the ones that were old enough to have stopped working, then went through my computer & decided it was time to move all of my saved Sims games onto a disk again but I have more games than a DVD will hold, to now it's time to change the DVD plan to a flash drive. Trouble is, I have 6.6 Gb of Sims games & my only flash drive
left out of 6 is a 2 Gb drive (5 of them have "disappeared"). SO ... I purchased an 8 Gb flash drive that I really like that would be hard for a guy to swipe & w/o looking suspicious (2nd pic). It even comes w/ a chain. Where's my flash drive? Around my neck! To be more specific, the SIMS 3 flash drive heart pendant! It's the: "I 💙 the Sims 3" flash drive. Once that was ordered, I sat down & worked on my Red Heart Mile-A-Minute crochet afghan (3rd pic). It's looking good! Pete came home with groceries & I made myself a sandwich for lunch. The FD got toned out to a lock out on my street but I was out w/ the dogs & didn't even know about it until it was almost over. I could have jogged up there, but it was
already taken care of by that point. I looked through my Excel spreadsheets & printed out a daily planner sheet for Kyle to help him organize his upcoming events once school starts. School, band, volunteer work, regular work, homework, etc. The boy really has a full plate & if he puts a little planning into it, he won't have as many problems trying to sort it all out. Pete  was hungry so we had dinner & then we sat down to watch TV while I hand knitted. Yesterday's Sims game was Sapphire Point & my Sim Misty McGlum is in the university on an apprentice fine arts award. She's been working on skills & going to classes. At midnight Pete & I wished Kyle a happy 17th birthday & presented him with his freedom sock. Rolled up inside the sock was a 1040 form. Free from us, but not free from the IRS. This morning the FD got toned out to an unauthorized burn again as I was out w/ the dogs. I swear, I only take the dogs out 3X a day & THOSE are the 3X we're going to get toned out?! I swear, step away from the radio & it goes off. Go out of district & it goes off. Sit here at the house & stare at it ... & nothing. I am NOT amused. Anyway, HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY KYLE! Kyle is a FREE elf!
