Good evening! Wow, it's already after 7:p. Busy day today. Yesterday was busy too, ran out of time. I did manage to clean the house, check eBay & facebook & take my game turns. The FD got toned out to a smoke investigation during the Band Banquet & Award Ceremony, I worked on my lace doily & completely re-did the main page of my Website, the random link on my Website, & added a bunch of stuff after only going in there to delete the latch hook page that wasn't even started yet. I enjoy latch hook, but it's not crocheting or knitting which seems to be what I REALLY enjoy & want to spend any free time doing. I've also decided to move my daily Sims game update to down below so people who
aren't interested in Sims don't have it mixed in up here w/ my personal blog. Today I woke up & took the dogs out, chatted w/ Kyle, got the mail, & then headed out for the afternoon. Pete & I went to Micro Center for a card he needed for one of his PCs, then we stopped at WalMart for $70 worth of new kitten supplies, then it was off to Rowlett to adopt Harley (4th & 5th pics). Smokey was lonely since Bella's passing & has been in my lap, on my shoulder, or SOMEWHERE on
top of me almost constantly. Smokey & Bella spent a lot of time together. I decided to adopt Harley & this is the 1st time ever that a kitten came into this house & didn't hiss or puff up at a single pet. All of them get along great! My office is even more crowded now w/ the addition of a huge bucket of kitty litter, a case of canned cat food, new food bowl, new litter box w/ a scoop & holder (nice touch), a scratching post with feather toy attached, a bottle of "NO" to hopefully preserve my afghans & furniture, & a bottle of spray catnip to attract him to the scratching post. I need to either blow out a wall & double the size of my office or take over the living room & make THIS room the TV room. Hmmm ... not a bad idea! We only watch TV 1 hour a day, I'm in my office MUCH more often than that ... it would look weird & be unconventional, but it would probably work extremely well! WOW!! The
house is set up the way it is for "normalcy", but come on ... we LIVE here & our needs dictate we may have to do things a little differently. We don't NEED a huge living room. Just room for a TV & a couple recliners. My current office is the perfect size for that while a lot of square footage in the living room goes wasted. Meanwhile, I'm SO overcrowded in my office that I can barely move. If I swap rooms w/ the living room, that would mean I have a ceiling fan, fireplace, 3 windows & a front door, a very open floorplan w/ an unused dining room as a crafting room attached, easy & speedy access to the kitchen & 2nd bathroom, & TONS of natural lighting (which interferes w/ the television) IN MY OFFICE. Sweet! OK, I think it's time to seriously consider this for real. Maybe I'll spend
the entirety of tomorrow (or tonight) moving furniture! I'll have to see if I can sell Pete on the idea, but it's very logical if you think about it & he's all for logic. ... Just talked to Pete & it makes perfect sense to him too. HA! Ok, my office / crafting room is going to go from a small bedroom w/ 1 window to a HUGE living room AND dining room (they're connected) w/ LOTS of windows, a ceiling fan, & a fireplace w/ a HUGE TV & surround sound system since Pete said to leave it there. I'm so excited that I'm about to explode! What I'm excited about more than anything about this move is the square footage that I desperately NEED. #2 would be the natural
lighting & air flow. Then all the rest of the stuff. Holy crap this is GREAT!!! OK ... calm down ... breathe ... calm ... NOPE! DIDN'T WORK!!! :D :D :D Be right back ... going to disappear again while I map all this out in Sims since I have a duplicate of this house in there & can see how well everything fits. It's much easier to move stuff here & there in Sims than it is in real life. Be back later w/ screenshots!!! ... Done! Now to work on the screenshot with circles & arrows & a paragraph (Ok, not a paragraph, but labels). DONE! (Last pic). It makes MUCH more sense, doesn't it? Each space is used correctly. No more wasted space on the right & no more being so cramped I can't move on the left. YES!!! Too bad I'm not strong enough to do it by myself. The temperature is finally right, I'm so excited that I have MORE than enough energy, but everyone else is wiped out. ... Update ... we do it TONIGHT as soon as I finish this blog. OK, I'm done. All the rest of the stuff can be added onto Monday. SEE YA! Furniture moving time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
