Good morning! Yesterday was a nice day. I got a lot of crafting in & had a good day overall. I made an egg over easy for breakfast, crocheted, got the mail, chatted w/ Pete, surfed eBay, checked facebook & took my game turns, chatted w/ Pete again, worked on my Inkle Loom (2nd pic), updated my schedule so I could see it better against which ever random background was thrown up with it, had a banana for lunch, took the dogs out, started a mandala to go w/ the strap on the Inkle Loom (2nd pic) for the tote bag
I'm making, then went onto Ravelry & updated all of my projects (3rd - 7th pics). The 3rd pic here is the beautiful Lindsay Top that I'm hand knitting. I wish you could see the glitter in the yarn, but it doesn't come out in the pic. It's beautiful though, trust me! The 4th pic is the beginning of the Tardis Afghan that I'm crocheting for Kyle. Great project, because my hobby + Kyle's interest = we're both happy! The 5th pic is a completed woven strap I've made on the Inkle Loom. Not sure what I'm going to use it for yet, a future tote bag maybe?
The 6th pic is my Bavarian Crochet afghan that I'm working on. The 7th pic is a screenshot of my Ravelry page. The top 8 thumbnails are current projects, the bottom 6 are completed projects. I update my Ravelry page every Tuesday w/ new projects, progress on current projects, updated photos, etc. My projects grow daily, but I figured a weekly update was enough unless I complete a project. Then the pics go up immediately in most cases. When Pete got home from work it was the nightly routine & then bed. My Sims game
yesterday was Lots To Give. My Sim Ivan was now at the University. He tested the skeletal structure, went to the Meet & Greet, worked on his photography skill, studied, boned up on anatomy, made autumn salad for dinner, & went to bed. The next morning he called a friend from back home, studied, had leftover mac & cheese for breakfast, went to class, & boned up on anatomy. This morning is a cloudy morning here in Texas. Of course I typed that & the sun came out. HA! I took the dogs out & then had to bring Joselyn back in soon after because it started to rain. It was short, but they were big raindrops! & then I updated Quicken for the
week. Today's Sims game is Mark XII (8th pic). My current Sim is Misty. She was a high school student when I loaded the game, but it was her birthday so she aged up into a young adult & gained the Socially Awkward trait. Unfortunately, DURING her birthday party, her mother died of old age. How sad to lose your mother during your birthday party! She took the University aptitude test & enrolled in the college with a Distinguished Fine Arts Award & will finish college after only 1 stint due to the 18 credits she started out with. YAY! Sunday is
Mother's Day AND Xoco's 4th birthday!
A stray star is floating backward in Libra which means now is a good time to fix the float in your toilet. Go ahead! Remove the "Use at own risk" sign & flush w/ confidence.
Be direct when telling your hairstylist what you want, & bring photos from magazines of styles you like.
Big leaf mahogany is a tree found in Southern & Central America. So "knock (hard) wood" this species makes a comeback.
Call in sick when you aren't.
Did you see this in the paper? There was a woman, back in Washington, taking a tour of the Capitol Building, & she gave birty to a baby in the Senate.
True. The minute that
baby was born, from force of habit, 9 senators
issued denials. -Johnny Carson 1989
I don't agree w/ the popular success literature that says self-esteem is primarily a matter of mind-set, of attitude - that you can psyche yourself into
peace of mind. Peace of mind comes when your life is in harmony w/ true
principles & values.
