• R.I.P. Bella Kitty, 2013 •

Good morning! It's EARLY for me ... I woke up at 7:a & love it! Even Kyle sent me a message when he saw activity online because he thought someone hacked into my account. No one sees me up this early unless it's because I haven't been to bed yet. We went to bed early last night though & this is great! it's chilly in the early morning though. Brrr! Yesterday morning I made hot cocoa for breakfast, crocheted, got the mail, chatted w/ Pete, added a link to the LCFD on dio, checked facebook & took my game turns, chatted w/ Kyle &
Pete, & then got a text from our next door neighbor Janis asking if we were missing a cat, they just found a cat in between their house & ours ... dead. It was our Bella (2nd pic). Bella wasn't a kitten anymore, but she was still young ... too young to have died of old age. I have no idea what happened to her. There were to signs of a fight other than a small tuft of her fur next to her. She wasn't near the road, & there was nothing indicating how it happened. She was such a sweet kitty, I'm going to miss her & I'm sure Smokey (our other cat) is missing her company too. Smokey was rescued from the water company during the FD's annual fundraiser in October & she & Bella have always been close. Goodbye Bella, I hope wherever you are you're happy & chasing mice. Kyle volunteered to bury
her for us. It would have been too emotional for me & although Pete got home early yesterday (just minutes after I collected Bella's body), he was worn out &
tired. Once I had time to mentally sort everything out & said goodbye to Bella for the last time, I needed to get to work doing something or I would have just spent the rest of the day staring at the wall missing my kitty. I decided to get to work on my inbox & cleared all of it now except for the DIY magazines. I created my Quilt Crochet page on my Website & included a pic of my current projects (3rd & 4th pics). Today is the day I'll update all of my project pics on facebook & Ravelry. The Tardis afghan has gotten much larger than the pic shown here. We picked Kyle up from school as the FD got toned out for an EMS call, went to Kroger for supplies (never grocery shop while you're hungry!) & I came home & made a sandwich. I had hoped to eat THREE different things, but only had room for HALF of ONE. Darn. Never shop while you're hungry. I keep saying it, yet I keep doing it. Yesterday's Sims game was the Science career. My current Sim, Gary is in the University & boned up on anatomy, tested the skeletal structure, went to the meet & greet, tested the skeletal structure again, went back to the dorm & had dinner, went to bed, & someone started a fire in the kitchen & burned the crap out of the stove. Funny how YOUR SIM has to pay to replace the stove in the dorm! Crap. Well, the science career Sims have money, so I upgraded to the best stove, fridge, dishwasher, & trash compactor. After all, many many generations of my Sims will be going to the University & about ¼ of them will stay in that dorm, so why not? The next morning he had breakfast & went to 3 classes, made stu surprise for dinner, showered, & went to bed. This morning I took the dogs out & checked my AT&T page. My Sims game of the day is Lexington/Hillsboro (5th pic). My current Sim, Chet Jr. is still a child & has a long way to go before seeing the University. He's got time to work on his skills & towards a scholarship. :) When I started the game today it was just in time for Chet to go to bed. When he woke up he showered & is ready for the day. LCFD Maintenance tonight @ 7:p.

OK, back to today. I don't know what I was thinking. EVERY SINGLE TIME I wake up early, it's for nothing. I end up right back where I would have been had I slept until my usual hour. Waking up early does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for me except gets me sucked out of the damn house & behind schedule. WHY DO I EVER EVER EVER GET UP EARLY?!?!?! WHAT A WASTE!!! 7:a just became 11:a, :(( :(( :(( Screw it. I'm just going to sleep until noon EVERY DAY. If I wake up before that I'm just going to roll over & go back to sleep. At least that way I won't get sucked out of the damn house. DAMNIT!!! I got up at SEVEN A.M. & am far behind schedule now ... just like EVERY damn time I've ever gotten up EARLY & got all excited about how much I'm going to get done & how I'm actually going to FINISH my schedule just ONE time this MONTH. Apparently, not today. :( I started this blog just after 7:a, hence the excitement at the beginning. It's going to be almost noon or later by the time I get it posted because at THIS moment, it's after 11 already. THIS is my screwed up damn life. What I REALLY REALLY want is to take a vacation, ALONE for a full week. Just take all my yarn to a motel room, no phone, no Internet, nothing. Lock the door, & crochet & knit UNINTERRUPTED for a week straight. I work, I work, I work, & I go to bed. It really sucks. I didn't get to machine knit yesterday OR Quilt Crochet & neither one will come around again for another WEEK. Not looking good for today's crafts either. What really sucks is knowing that you're old & there isn't much time left. What little time I have left in life is spent running & working. Wasn't there supposed to be retirement somewhere? Wasn't there supposed to be enjoyment & relaxation at the end of a long road? What the hell happened to THAT? HUH?! I'm a smoker pushing 50. There ain't many days left & I know it. So many things I wanted to do before it was over. :'( OK, I'm done venting. I needed that.

Intristic security doesn't come from what other people think of us or how they treat us. It doesn't come from our circumstances or our position. It comes from within. It comes from accurate paradigms & correct principles deep in our own mind & heart. It comes from inside-out congruence, from living a life of integrity in which our daily habits reflect our deepest values.

Love is the #1 reason most people give for getting married - so is there a sell-by-date on love? There were about 840,000 divorces declared in America in 2009. That's a lot of spoiled love!

People would be smart to remember what Benjamin Franklin said: "Keep your eyes wide open before marriage, half shut afterwards."
