May 24, 2013

Good afternoon! Yesterday was a PERFECT day! Not only did I get everything done that I needed to do, but I got everything done that I wanted to do also. It was great! Days like that are far & few between but always leave me in a great mood ... that great feeling of accomplishment & fulfillment. :) I chatted w/ Pete, cleaned the house, got the mail, had to drive to Enterprise rent-a-car to pick up some stuff that Pete forgot & left in the rental (yes, he has his Honda back now), while I was out running errands of course the FD got toned out again, this time for mutual aid to a neighboring department for a bad MVA on 380. When I got back home I surfed eBay, added a recurring calendar event on my iPad Mini, updated the random iPad Mini link of the week on my personal Website, made beef stew for lunch, finally checked facebook & took my game turns, chatted w/ Pete, took the dogs out, got to sit & play Sims for a while, chatted w/ Chris in IM, showered, planned dinner for tonight & made last night's dinner, watched Ancient Aliens w/ Pete & then headed off to bed. PERFECT for a Thursday! Since Thursday went so well & since I'm in such a good mood, I'm expecting today to either go great or at least good. Let's hope the positive attitude & mood help out ... I've heard it does. :) The FD got toned out this morning to a fire alarm. Lawson came by & is repairing the storm damage to our chimney. I took the dogs out, worked on my Bavarian Crochet, & got the mail so far today. DPS was cancelled due to Kyle missing a piece of needed paperwork that's at the school & well, they're closed today. HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND! Ever try to have a conversation & end up talking in Simlish instead? I was just outside talking to Kyle & said "Bewawa". Somehow, he knew what I meant. He said "Beware of bees? Yes, I always am". Great, I accidentally speak Simlish & my son UNDERSTANDS IT! OK, it's not officially Simlish, but it sure sounded like it. Don't you love it when you open your mouth to say something & what comes out isn't any known language on the planet? Brain fart.

In India, where snakes are worshiped as gods, women pour milk in snake pits as offerings. Unfortunately, snakes hate milk.

Knowing you need to listen & knowing how to listen isn't enough. Unless you WANT to listen, unless you have the desire, it won't be a habit in your life.

Lakeside Mansion by Curtis Paradis:
Today's Sims game is the Lakeside Mansion by Curtis Paradis (2nd pic). I swapped out the standard Sims cars w/ a Cadillac & an Audi (1st pic). NICE huh? My current Sim is Nikki Schmidt (1st gen). She is disciplined & working on her martial arts skill. She joined the University & achieved apprentice towards a Phys Ed degree.

Remington:
Yesterday's game was Remington. My Sim Michael Jones was still in grade school & worked on all the skills he could as a child. When he aged up to a teen, he gained the vehicle enthusiast trait & then concentrated on the martial arts skill since one of his traits is disciplined. When he aged up into a young adult he gained the absent-minded trait & then filled out the university exam. He did best in Phys Ed, but considering his brave trait means he'd do best in the law enforcement or military career, he enrolled in the University towards a technology degree which is useful towards those careers.

There's some good news & some bad news. The good news is, that the Pope has come to Washington to visit the White House. The bad news is, the White House needs more than a miracle. -Johnny Carson 1979
