Good morning! Yesterday was a wild ride. I just now posted yesterday's blog & it's only half written. Mid blog Kyle called, I called the school & approved his early release so he could ride his bike home before the storm hit, I chatted with Ann-Marie, then Pete came by to pick me up to help out with the high volume of calls generated by the storm that had already hit Denton to the west of us, then all hell broke loose here. The FD got 16 consecutive calls. SIXTEEN. I do believe that's a record, but I've only been on the department 3½ years, so I could be wrong. Kyle climbed up on the roof after the storm & took a bunch of pics of the damage we sustained during the storm. We lost 2 corners (pic) & some random shingles here & there. There's about a dozen of them laying in the back yard. Our neighbor's mailbox was torn off it's post & thrown into the lawn of the next property over from them, & there are down trees & fences all over the place. That was one heck of a storm & from what I hear it came in FAST. One minute everything was normal, then the lights went out, then WHAM! 75 mph winds in 1 second flat. No leading up to it, no "it's starting to get windy" ... just clam & then storm .. like a storm switch was flicked on. I don't know what time we got home, but it was late & I was hungry & tired. I can't even begin to imagine how the FD felt ... they must have been REALLY hungry & tired! I hope they all have a calm & quiet day today & a lot of time to recharge their batteries & spirits. Much quieter today ... I've taken the dogs out & done the banking for the week. Memorial Day weekend this weekend!

Military:
Today's Sims game is the military career. This was the oldest game in the lineup (been the longest since it's been played). I started this one out in the summer & my current Sim Michael headed off to the University to get his technology degree (helps towards the military career). He's been working on his athletic skill, also needed for the military career.
