★ May 7, 2013 ★

Good morning! I went on an EMS call w/ the FD yesterday in the middle of the blog, came back & chatted w/ Pete on the phone, made French Toast for breakfast, crocheted, got the mail, surfed eBay, tried to check facebook & take my game turns but only got a little bit through both because the Internet / PC was acting up, went through my inbox & got a lot filed & put away, made sure my link to Blogger was working off of my personal Website, took Kyle & Sarah to DQ for lunch, took the dogs out, & then machine knitted until Pete got
home from work & then it was the nighttime routine & bed. While we were watching TV, I started a new Quilt Crochet project, a Tardis Afghan for Kyle (3rd pic). My Sim from yesterday's LizC864 6 game practiced her guitar skill, showered, made mac & cheese for dinner & headed off to bed. When she got up she checked for weekly events, cleaned the house, made grilled cheese for lunch, worked on her
handiness skill & then went into labor. She had a baby boy named Vinnie Levine (2nd gen). Vinnie is a loner & clumsy. Vinnie is a Gemini who likes pop music, goopy cabonara, & the color sea foam. As soon as he was born, his mom Tasha headed off to the University w/ a Distinguished Fine Arts Award. She's the 1st Sim I've had that had enough credits on her way to the University to only have to do 1 stint instead of 2. When she got to the campus she studied, practiced sketching & her guitar skills. This morning I took the dogs out, chatted w/ Pete on the phone, & checked My AT&T page. My Sims game for the day is Lots To Give (2nd pic). A beautiful home created by a very talented other. My Sim is Ivan. Ivan is family oriented, a heavy sleeper, a perfectionist, unlucky, & has a photographer's Eye. His lifetime wish is to have a World Class Gallery. He likes pancakes, custom music, & the color yellow. He's a Gemini. His furry companion is Scottie, a MinPin that's a genius, hydrophobic, & lazy. Ivan worked on his photography skill until the University Mascot arrived. He took the aptitude test & enrolled in the University towards a Science & Medicine degree. When he arrived on campus the 1st thing he did was start studying. City Council Meeting tonight @ 7:p.

I have some good news & bad news. Good news is, auto sales are up sharply. The bad news is, it's also considered housing sales. -Johnny Carson 1983

May is National Barbecue Month so ponder your secret sauce carefully. I'm always reminded of the youngster who took roadkill to school for "show & tell." Just remember: roadkill is for barbecue, it's not a toy. On the other hand, classmates would appreciate the courtesy sniff.

There is a transcendent power in a strong intergenerational family. An effectively interdependent family of children, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, & cousins can be a powerful force in helping people have a sense of who they are, where they came from, & what they stand for.
