May 25, 2013

Good morning! 2 perfect days in a row! How did that happen? Ultra rare. Well, yesterday was "almost" perfect. Lawson came over & repaired our chimney & got ½ of the 1st coat of paint on it before the sky got dark & we heard thunder in the distance. He has to come back tomorrow or Monday to finish painting. I made a cheese omelet for Kyle & I for breakfast, Kyle owed me a makeup day on chores but I still got a few things done that don't apply to him such as neatening the Inkle loom table in my crafting room & a couple other things. I chatted w/ Pete, surfed eBay, checked facebook & took my game turns, worked on my knit wit afghan, updated my quilt crochet page on my Website, took the dogs out, was going to watch Atlas Shrugged part 1 on Netflix through the Wii, but Pete said he wanted to watch it w/ me when he got home so I skipped that & was going to do it later, worked on the Inkle loom for a bit, was going to take a shower but right about as I was ready to a storm blew in & we had a lightning strike on our block that set off all the car alarms & I decided standing in a shower would be a bad idea about then, cooked shepherd's pie for dinner & then the power went out. I guess it's bedtime huh? The power didn't come back on until 3:a so I got up & turned off the lights & went back to sleep. This morning I took the dogs out, started to work on my Bavarian crochet & then got a text message from Boy Scouts. Seems Kyle needed to be at Big Lots in McKinney ... half an hour ago. I drove him there, came back & continued working on my Bavarian crochet. Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

As I look into my crystal ball I see warm weather & cookouts. But I also see the words "controlled burn," so be advised not to leave your buns on the rack too long.

Because it's mainly composed of hydrogen & helium gas, Saturn is less dense than water. If you put it in a bowl of water - provided that you could find one large enough - it would float.

Lakeside Mansion:
Yesterday's Sims game went well. My Sim did the usual, study, go to class, eat, sleep, shower. After getting out of one of her classes, my Sim saw a harvestable plant & checked it out. It was Cinnamon! That's new! I had her harvest it & she ended up harvesting everything on that lot. Cool, now she has snacks for between class. :)

Maplegrove:
Today's Sims game is Maplegrove. My current Sim is Michael (1st gen) & is still in the university, sketching & studying.

Stop flyaway hair! Spray Static Guard on your comb or brush. Or smooth an antistatic dryer sheet along your head.

Subscriptions to magazines or newspapers are gifts that keep on giving. Pick a magazine covering a specific topic of interest that the recipient enjoys (gardening, knitting, fishing, wine, etc.). (A subscription to a crocheting or knitting magazine would work great for me & yes, the gift lasts a full YEAR)!
