Good morning! I had a much better day yesterday than the 3 days prior, but that was purely by design. I needed to unwind & I did that by crafting all day. Talk about yarn therapy! Kyle called me to tell me about Shattered Dreams at his school & sent me a pic ... my 1st comment was "MY CHARCOAL GRAY GRAND MARQUIS!" One of the cars they used was a twin of a car I had not too long ago. Great car! It was sad to
see it all crunched up like that. For all I know it WAS my old car. I would only know if I had checked the VIN#. I got the mail & then it was crafting day! I started out w/ quilt crocheting (4th pic), chatted w/ Pete for a bit, then onto Mandala Crochet (3rd pic), then updated my projects on Ravelry (5th pic), cleaned out the unwanted photos on my iPad Mini, did some Bavarian Crochet (2nd pic in Ravelry pic), took the dogs out, chatted w/ Pete again, then played Sims for a while. My Sim, Pete is doing great! He had mac & cheese for dinner, went to bed, woke up & showered, made waffles for
breakfast, upgraded his brain enhancement machine, went to classes, made sushi for dinner, went to bed, etc. He completed his 1st stint in the University & graduated on the Dean's List with an A. Once he got home he enrolled for his final 6 credits & headed back to the University. He achieved level 10 of nerd status which offered him the coveted Video Game Developer career which he happily accepted. He's set for life! He also changed his lifetime wish (which used to be in the science career) to graduate from the University as an A student, which will be cake for him to do. When he went back to the University for his final credits, he chose this time to stay in a frat house. Nicer than a dorm & cheaper than renting a
house since it's free. After Sims for a while I logged into AOL to clear out some of my PSP e-mails & then ended up getting stuck trying to get CyberDuck to work again. There was something wrong w/ my Internet connection (AOL scrambled the settings) & I never did get my Website updated (something I was trying to do once I had downloaded more backgrounds for it). Pete got home & it was the nightly routine & bed. The only craft I didn't do yesterday that I had hoped to do in the list was the Knit Wit afghan. I only have 1 skein of black
yarn & it was attached to the Bavarian Crochet project at that time, so I postponed it until I get to the next round on the Bavarian Crochet & detach the black. Now, hopefully I can go back to more normal days. I'd hate to have to flip my
schedule upside down & prioritize fun over responsibility, but if I keep running out of time like I have been ... well, all work & no play makes me postal. I'll flip it if I have to just for my sanity. Today I'm looking forward to catching up on the Knit Wit afghan project from yesterday now that the black yarn is disconnected from the Bavarian Crochet. I took the dogs out, worked on the Mandala Crochet (3rd pic) instead of the Bavarian simply because I felt like swapping them, & loaded up my #1 Downloads game (1st pic). This is the game where I downloaded the #1 downloaded lot of all time (Yellow Country Estate), put it in the #1 downloaded town (Cornucopia), inserted the #1 downloaded household (Friends), etc. etc. This game was pre-Seasons, so I started it off now in the winter. This is a fully packed house w/ the maximum # of Sims (8) & the maximum # of pets (2) that you can have when you have 8 Sims in a house. The Sim I'm currently playing (the youngest), is Hazel event (2nd gen). She's currently a high school student w/ 2 days / years left of high school. The LCFD will be at the Jimmy Buffet concert tomorrow.

Early primates could puff up their body hair to appear larger when attacked, but thanks to evolution, all us humans get are just goose bumps.
Every time you're in the elevator for an entire week, say to whomever is riding w/ you, "You know, I used to work as an elevator operator. Now there's a job that has its ups & downs."
If you have to choose between exercising & getting fewer than 6 hours of sleep, you may want to skip the gym. Reams of research have shown that lack of sleep causes imbalances in hunger hormones that may lead to weight gain & obesity. Instead of cutting your rest short, sneak in smaller periods of exercise throughout the day by doing quick sets of strength moves like push-ups & crunches before & after work & taking a brisk walk during lunch.
Many people think if you're nice, you're not tough. But Win-Win is nice ... & though. It's twice as tough as Win-Lose. To go for Win-Win, you not only have to be nice - you have to be courageous.
Scotland newspaper prints a couple's account of driving along the Loch Ness shore & seeing "an enormous animal rolling & plunging on the surface." 80 years ago yesterday. Soon after, another couple claims to glimpse the beast nearby on land. Other sightings go back 1,500 years, but the 1933 sightings prompted today's legend of the Loch Ness Monster.
Story in the paper, a man who's on welfare - you might have read this, whose medical expenses were paid for by welfare - he underwent a sex change operation. Did you happen to read that? Now that's right one. -Johnny Carson 1973
