Good afternoon! It would have been morning, but I went back to sleep for a couple hours. I had Rice Krispies for breakfast yesterday, checked my LCFD & Outlook.com e-mails, & then started my favorite of all crafts ... Bavarian Crochet (1st pic). I decided to do this one in Brites & bright it is! I went to Walmart & got all the yarn I needed for it, came back & went through the mail, logged my yarn spree in Quicken, updated Ravelry w/ the new project, picked Kyle up from band & of course we got toned out to a med call, came back & started this bright afghan! The FD was toned out to a MVA on the highway late last night. Yesterday's Sims game was Pete & I in my dream home. This
is one of 2 games where I freeze time in the game so we don't grow old & die while I'm mirroring real life events. My dream home (2nd pic) has everything I could want in a home inside & out. It's about what's included, not about what the house itself looks like. I wasn't talented enough to make it visually beautiful on the outside when I built it. The 2 added gardens on the other hand are wonderful! My Sim (me) had
breakfast outside on the deck at their beautiful outdoor dining set (3rd pic). I'd do this in real life if it weren't for the extreme heat here (it's already 99° today & will be in the triple digits before I get to breakfast). Then she (I), went out back to work in the garden (4th pic) & no, the beautiful white horse isn't hers ... it just wandered into the yard. After she was done in the garden she came in & worked out
(5th pic). I love how Sims can be overweight at the beginning of a workout as you can see in the pic, but then nice & thin at the end of the workout (6th pic). After her workout she showered, had dinner (that nice skinny 6th pic again) & went to bed. This morning I took the dogs out, the FD got toned out to a med call, I went back to sleep for a while, got up & took the dogs out again (they're trained
that when I get out of bed they all race to the back door ... even though it had only been 2 hours, they were positive it was time to go out again)! Today's Sims game is Goth & yes, I remembered to turn aging back on. My Sim Misty II is in the university towards a science & medicine degree & has been going to classes.

"Dixie," the unofficial anthem of the
Confederacy, was actually written by a Northerner named Dan Emmett. He was loyal to the Union during the Civil War, despite the song's popularity in the South.

Geologists, by studying an ancient tree trunk - I guess by counting its rings, have discovered that California once had a drought that lasted 120 years. And the drought was over 1,000 years ago. And they're sure that there was a drought because the geologist found a sign in the cave that said, "Do not flush after Roman numeral one." -Johnny Carson 1977

Win-Win isn't a technique; it's a total philosophy of human interaction.

You're at the tail end of a bachelorette party & one of the celebrants is exceptionally drunk. She can't stand up, can barely speak, & seems dazed.
True or false: Your best bet is to put her in bed & leave a large glass of water at her bedside.
Answer: False. Never leave an extremely intoxicated person alone. If she falls asleep on her back, there's a risk she could choke on her own vomit. Instead, place your friend on her side & watch her closely for signs of alcohol poisoning, such as slow or irregular breathing or loss of consciousness. If you have any doubts, call 911.
