Good morning! Ack, cough, gack. My cold leveled out yesterday, but got worse today. I'm back to sweating, coughing, runny nose. Ick. DayQuil / Mucinex / Sudafed cocktail. Yesterday was a busy day. I didn't have time for machine knitting or quilt crocheting. Darn. Right after I started yesterday's blog we got toned out & I went on a med call, came back & chatted w/ our Assistant Chief & then Pete on the phone, got the mail, chatted w/ our Chief on the phone, crocheted (decided to work on the Bavarian Crochet instead of regular), surfed eBay, checked facebook & took my game turns, chatted w/ Pete on the phone again & this time almost had a heart attack. We were in the middle of talking & I heard a skid followed by a loud crash. Those are the moments when your knees almost completely give out under you, you start shaking uncontrollably, & every second seems like an eternity as you're waiting for a response to "ARE YOU
OK?!" Pete was fine, he got rear-ended while slowing down to make a left turn. The guy behind him admitted that he was looking at his iPhone & looked up just in time to hit the brakes but slid into him anyway. Pete's car was knocked into a signpost (luckily just missed a telephone pole). His back bumper is now flatter, the trunk doesn't line up anymore & will probably leak the next time it rains, & something fell off the front of the car. That poor little Honda has been so beat up. He said the car was still drivable, so I didn't go out there to pick him up &/or tow the car home. When all that was over & I calmed down enough to get back to stuff, I started going through my inbox but had to pause that to go to a BOA meeting that I was hoping I wouldn't have to go to due to this cold I've got, but they needed a quorum so I went. When I got back I started to work on my inbox again & then Pete came home but he had work to do so I was able to finish working on my inbox. I have all the patterns cataloged & put away now & next time I'll start working on the educational books. When I finished working on the inbox I checked my Breakfast link to make sure it was working properly & removed the mail to link that was in the Random spinner because for some reason every time the Random spinner chooses the breakfast page it opens up 5 outgoing e-mails. Why 5? Why any at all? I removed the mail to in hopes that that fixes the problem. I guess time will tell. I made a ham & cheese sandwich for lunch, took the dogs out, & then it was the nightly routine & bed. The FD got 2 more med calls late last night for a total of 3 calls yesterday. Busy day for our small town FD. My Sims game yesterday was Fachwerkhaus w/ Lewis (1st gen). He spent time with his pet, worked on his writing skill, made autumn salad for dinner, went to bed & then got robbed by Blake Freeman. Turns out this beautiful house comes with 5 floors of everything EXCEPT an alarm system. Lewis called the police but they never showed up. The bugler took the most expensive HDTV & a grand piano. I had to use game cheats to replace them because I didn't have enough money. Damnit! When Lewis woke up the next morning he showered, made mac & cheese for lunch, worked on his athletic skill, cleaned the house, paid the bills, spent time with is pet, threw a party, worked on his writing skill, & at 9:p was able to start working on his hacking. He made $189 hacking until one of the computers he hacked got him back & fried his laptop. He called the repair technician since he doesn't have enough of the handiness skill to fix anything electronic himself w/o getting electrocuted, showered, made mac & cheese for dinner, & headed to bed. The repair technician was a cute girl named Clara Castillo. 1st thing the next day he called her & they're now married & expecting a child. Her handiness skill is level 10, so she upgraded his laptop to unbreakable & now he makes over $2k/day hacking w/o any risk to his pc. The FD got another EMS call early in the morning making 4 calls in a 24-hour period. When I woke up this morning I took the dogs out, Pete found a hijacker on my PC when I couldn't access my bank because it kept saying server not found, I checked AT&T, spoke to my MIL & Pete on the phone, & today's game is Rhone Ridge (2nd pic). My Sim is Sam (1st gen) who has a son named Mike. When the game started today Mike was a toddler & Sam changed his dirty diaper & then potty trained him, made organic fish & chips for dinner, fed Mike on the floor, & headed to bed. When he woke up it was Mike's birthday. Mike aged up into a child & gained the evil trait. Tonight is the LCFD 5th Tuesday social @ 7:p.

Be aware stargazers, you might have the uncontrollable urge to belch every half hour after lunch. If you ate fish, try to avoid this. Nothing clears out a room like a fish burp.
I believe there's intelligent life in outer space. The reason I believe that is because they haven't landed here yet. -Johnny Carson 1981
In the words of Gandhi, "They cannot take away our self respect if we don't give it to them." It's our willing permission, our consent to what happens to us, that hurts us far more than what happens to us in the 1st place.
Many people love opera, but other people find opera difficult to like. Mark Twain was 1 of the latter who said, "I hate the very name opera - partly because of the nights of suffering I've endured in its presence, & partly because I want to love it & I can't."

Trailhead:
Make your project work a breeze with Trailhead: Basecamp Client for iPad
NOTE: 37Signals.com has released a new Basecamp version and the app currently only works with the "classic" edition. We are currently in process of releasing the latest app thats compatible with both versions. Please be aware of this while you are buying the app.
Faqden Labs is excited to announce the release of Trailhead, a Basecamp client for iPad. This app provides a true mobility layer to the project management and collaboration application of 37Signals.com’s Basecamp.
We understand why you picked Basecamp as your PM tool of choice out of thousands of choices out there – It’s the same reason why we did! It’s intuitive, easy and simple to use. Doesn’t crash and it’s always there for you.
Well, we created Trailhead for the same reasons, so that you can continue to use your favorite application on an iPad in the most efficient way possible. Trailhead is an intuitively designed iPad app that provides a slick and quick interface to your Basecamp projects. The current release of Trailhead supports the two most important functions of Basecamp i.e, Messages and To-Dos.
Using this app, you can connect to any of your Basecamp accounts and browse through all your projects. You can view, edit and add comments to your messages. It retrieves all the right people and companies that are registered with each project for you to conveniently subscribe the messages to.
The management of To-Do lists is easier than the Basecamp web application itself. The To-Do lists view provides easy access to the lists and the action-items within, for the user to add new lists or items within the list, re-order the various items, finish\unfinish tasks and so on.
The user experience and usability design is very intuitive and flexible. The app lets users jump from a certain activity in one project, directly to an entirely different activity in any another project. It consumes as few user actions as possibly can in doing so.
Features:
-Browse projects
-Work with Messages and To-Dos
-Easy access to Messages: Users can View\Edit messages and also can view\edit and post new comments. The intuitive UI design makes the messages always available with one-button touch
-Flexible management of To-Dos: Users can View\Edit To-Do lists and also can view\edit and post new comments.
-Users can Create new To-Do lists or add items to existing To-Do lists right from the app, and like everything else, it is only a button touch away
-Users can drag\drop action items to re-order them, but can also re-order the to-do lists themselves.
-Users can Finish\Unfinish items and lists right from the app. You can toggle between finished and unfinished action items for convenience.
-Pick the right people and companies to subscribe items to
-Calendar feature is added. Now you can add, modify and monitor your milestones and events of your Basecamp account
- Calendar displays pins to indicate presence of events at a high level
-Remember Login, so you don’t need to enter it over and over. Convenience is the mantra!
-Login\Logout functionality
Product Roadmap:
There are several cool features coming up very shortly, such as, People and Companies, Overview etc. The app will also look into presenting project data in different customizable views for enhancing usability and might possibly augment Basecamp data with other useful data for your convenience in future. You will be as excited as us when you see our Roadmap, but why don’t you start today by download Trailhead.

Waiting too many hours to eat sends your blood sugar & energy levels off a cliff, so cravings soar. If you need something between breakfast & lunch, keep it to 100 calories or less (like a stick of low-fat string cheese). Afternoon snacks can be 150-175 calories (like an apple spread with a tsp. of peanut butter).
We're not lying! Today is Honesty Day, & you're encouraged to be honest. Honesty Day was created by M. Hirsh Goldberg, who noted that April started w/ a big day of lying (April Fool's Day) so it should end on a higher moral note.
