Good morning! Yesterday was MUCH better than the day before. Funny how it can swing from totally insane to a perfect day like that. I'm not complaining though, yesterday de-stressed me & all is good. I got everything done yesterday & that was WITH rearranging furniture ... twice. After blogging I talked to Pete on the phone, then Kyle, then Pete again, (was starting to look like a repeat of the day before), but finally made it into the kitchen & made scrambled eggs for breakfast ... & talked to Pete again on the phone. I cleaned the house, got the mail, surfed eBay, checked facebook & took my game turns, then spent some time on the Inkle Loom. Same as last week ... my muscles started cramping up in my shoulders & then started spreading across my upper back & down my arms. Hmmm ... something's wrong. Table height. It must be that the loom is too high up. If it were down by my knees it would be much easier to work with & probably wouldn't make me cramp up. I thought about this for a bit & decided a coffee table would be perfect. HA! Yeah, my office is already FULL. But so is the table the loom is on
because it shares a table with my knitting machine. I bought this table specifically for the knitting machine AND loom because the table my knitting machine USED to be on was just the right size for the knitting machine but the loom wouldn't fit anywhere. Now here I am evicting Pete's stuff off of the coffee table in the living room so I could bring it into my office & put an Inkle Loom on it. Due to the lack of space, the end of the coffee table had to go under the end of the knitting machine table (which was fine because I didn't need to work back there & it was great for
storage. I got everything rearranged & stated working again. SO much better & my shoulder muscles were no longer cramping up. YAY! This coffee table was about 4" too low though. Instead of sitting up straight I had to lean forward & rest my arms on my legs as I worked. Still MUCH better than the previous setup, but still not perfect. I went back into the living room & measured the other coffee table we had out there. My crafting coffee table that has the slide out bins under it that holds my crocheting & knitting projects & was parked underneath the living room windows. It was 2" higher. Much better AND it was a crafting table already! (3rd pic) Pete got his coffee table back (I was originally going to put my crafting coffee table where his coffee table used to be) & my crafting coffee table went into my office. Yep, much better
to work on. It's amazing the difference 2" makes. Another 2" & I'm golden. Maybe I'll just cut 2" pieces of a 4X4 & put them under the table & raise it that way. It won't look stellar, but it'll FEEL stellar when I work on it. :) Being that the Inkle Loom just kinda sits there, I don't need to make permanent changes to the table by nailing the extensions on. The knitting machine is different, that clamps to the table & the force of the carriage going back & forth puts a lot of pressure on the table. I could never just sit the knitting machine table on blocks to raise it up because it wouldn't be stable enough. The Inkle Loom though doesn't need that kind of stability as it's not clamped to the table & there's no force being applied to the table repeatedly. I worked on my weaving project for a bit (4th pic) & then checked my personal Website to make sure my link to the LCFD was working properly, took the dogs out, & then finally logged into AOL to clear some of the 6,000+ e-mails that have been backing up in there due to my lack of time to ever get to them. I cleared many, I'm down to 4,739 according to my keyboard display (which I just found out not only shows a clock (among many other things), but has an AOL e-mail count in the bottom left of the clock's display. The reason I have so many e-mails in my AOL account is because it's a hobby account. All of my PSP e-mails are there. I'm in a group that shares PSP graphics, accents, tubes, frames, etc. One of the graphics I collected last night along with the many other things is the 1st pic shown. I also share with the group & last night shared a tube of Western items (5th pic preview). When Pete got home I cooked ground veal & rice for dinner & we did our normal nighttime routine & actually got to bed at midnight. Super early for us. Here I am awake at an almost normal hour & it feels great! I hope to get so much done today! Yesterday's Sim if you remember was Chet Fox Jr of Lexington in Appaloosa Plains. He went to bed, got up & went to school, came home & did his homework, showered, went fishing in the large pond in the front yard, went to bed, woke up & had a hamburger for breakfast, went fishing again, cleaned the house, went fishing again until he gained level 1 of the fishing skill, then granted himself a personal wish to play tag, then it was time to gain another skill. Inventing. I had to first buy him an inventing table. Where to put it? How about that large barn that isn't being used? I also purchased a stereo for while he was working out there since Sims get a positive moodlet from listening to music & also installed a shower out there since you can accidentally set yourself on fire while inventing. I've lost Sims that way in the past. If there's a shower nearby you can jump in & put yourself out. If he had to run from the barn all the way to the shower at the far opposite side of the house, he would die before he got there. He worked on his inventing skill until he gained level 1 & then had a hamburger for dinner. That's where we left off for the night. This morning I took the dogs out, checked & updated Quicken for the week, & then chose LizC864 8 as today's game. A house I built a while back (2nd pic). My current Sim is Misty (2nd gen). She started out in school & then came home & did her homework. She's a teen. Back IRL, the Princeton Onion Festival is this weekend but as with every year I'm going to miss it. I'm going to be at the Jazz Festival in Denton helping out with Pete & his employer at the tables they'll have set up.

  6. Adelaide, Australia
  7. Copenhagen, Denmark

Dirtiest city in the world is Baku in Azerbaijan, polluted by centuries of oil production. In spite of this filthy fact, it's still a popular tourist destination; it must attract the "anti-eco" tourist crowd.

Do some preventative landscaping. If the ground around your home's foundation slopes toward the house, make some grading changes so that the ground slopes away from the home.

In leadership style, Win-Lose is the authoritarian approach: "I get my way; you don't get yours." Win-Lose people are prone to use position, power, credentials, possessions, or personality to get their way.

I was thinking of my old girlfriend, Stella Lugosi. Stella was - she was unattractive. She was overweight. And well, she was homely. One day Stella was sunbathing in our front yard. And my dad came out of the house & yelled, "Look, I told you to spread it out all over the lawn, not in one place!" -Johnny Carson 1983
