What a long weekend, but a good one. I started off Saturday after blogging with surfing eBay, planting seeds in the flower garden, got the mail, Pete & Kyle fixed the mower & got started on the yard work, Pete & I went to his employer's in Denton, stopped at RaceTrac for fuel, went to a Chinese buffet for lunch, went to Market Street for groceries, stopped at Michael's for beads, went to Home Depot for wood so Pete can build another bookshelf for his office, then to Wal*Mart for medium blue beads so I can finish my bead banner & guess what, they no longer sell them. That project is now on the back burner indefinitely & it was a nice one, too. I was 3/4 finished with it. When we got home I
started a new bead banner project that requires only the main colors sold in large bags by Michael's. No more running out of bead mid-project (in theory). This next bead banner isn't going to be an object like the previous ones. 1st was a small bell (just to see how the craft worked & if I liked it), the 2nd project was a large FD banner, then a small spring flowers banner, then a large EMS/FD banner (which is currently stuck because of the medium blue used in the EMS side of the banner), now this one is a geometric pattern that I created. So far it
looks very nice. Speaking of crafts, my best friend sent me the 2nd pic, crocheted flowers using soda can pull tabs. I have no shortage of crochet hooks, thread, or pull tabs. Just what I needed, another craft. THANK YOU you pain in my ... ! LOL!! After getting the new bead banner started & working on it for a little bit, it was nighttime routine & bed. My Sim for Saturday who lives in the Modern House
Remodel by Curtis Paradis, a really beautiful house that was supposed to be a really nice game, took a turn for the worse when my Sim had twins. My poor Sim spent FIVE DAYS trying to get sleep until fully rested. Almost impossible when you have twins. She has skipped work & so has her husband. Taking care of twins has been ... difficult to say the least. She did find a moment to work on her athletic skill, had a tofu dog for dinner, showered, & went to bed. This was the 1st night after coming home from the hospital. She was able to sleep all night. Then started the difficulty. She slept until lunchtime (after having to get up in the middle of the night to take care of the babies), made mac & cheese for lunch, went to the consignment shop just to get out of the house before her entire world changed & she'll be stuck at home for a LONG time, came back, cleaned the house, paid the bills, spent time with the pets, went swimming in their pool, had waffles for breakfast & then went to bed. That was the last normal day. It was then 5 days of wake up, take care of the babies, go back to bed, wake up, eat, go back to bed, wake up, take care of the babies, go back to bed, wake up, shower, go back to bed, wake up, take care of the babies ... 5 days. FIVE DAYS before she could sleep until she was DONE sleeping, get up, make the bed, & make herself a tofu dog for dinner before a baby started crying (they're already toddlers now). I don't think she has enough time to teach them to walk & talk now ... after 5 days of just trying to sleep & do the bare minimum basics for survival, time to teach them to walk & talk has run out. I'm not going to be allowed to choose their traits because of this, so let's just hope the game is nice to me & doesn't give them both bad traits as a punishment (as it usually does). Sunday back IRL (my biggest crafting / relaxing day of the week) I woke up & took the dogs out, the FD got toned out to an EMS call, I talked to our Chief for a bit, went to work on my bead banner for the last time until Thursday, board knitted, made French toast for breakfast, went through the Sunday paper, surfed eBay, hand knitted, worked on my latch hook rug, the FD got toned out to an unauthorized burn, I machine knitted, & then Pete & I went out to grab a bite to eat & get some groceries. I pulled into Wendy's & Pete said he'd rather have Denny's (works for me!) & then we went to Wal*Mart & grabbed groceries for the week (ran into Josh Grady who now works there in addition to his other job) & headed home. I took the dogs out & then checked Ravelry for the week & then it was time for our nighttime routine & bed. My Sims game for yesterday was the Summer Garden Cottage (4th pic). I started the game during the night with my Sim Robert Whipsnake (2nd gen) sleeping. When he woke up he cleaned the house, made a tofu dog for lunch, & then went & got his son Scott Whipsnake (3rd gen) & they had a birthday party. Scott aged up into a child which means I now switch & start playing Scott. Scott gained the rebellious trait & went immediately to bed after his birthday party because he was tired. He woke up & grabbed leftover grilled salmon for breakfast, cleaned the house, went swimming in their pool, then went fishing in their pond until the school bus came. After school he grabbed a plate of leftover grilled salmon for lunch, did his homework, showered & went to bed. When he woke up he grabbed a plate of leftover grilled salmon for breakfast & that's where we left off. Back IRL, this morning I took the dogs out & updated my iPad Mini apps. I loaded up the Row House Apartments game which will soon change to the Mediterranean Villa game. My newly 'young adult' sim is going steady with a girl who lives in the Mediterranean Villa & DAMN it's a beautiful mansion! Screw the Row House apartments ... we're moving! Ugene Boston (2nd gen) is living w/ just his dad ... I have no idea what happened to my original Sim for this game. Xanadu should still be alive, it's way too early in the game for her to have died of old age & since she's gone & I have no notes on the subject, I can only assume that she died some other way, although I can't imagine how or why. We start the game this morning with Ugene sleeping. When he woke up he showered & attended graduation & graduated as class valedictorian. I can't wait until his girlfriend Kristen Chen ages up so we can move to that beautiful new house. She's still in high school. Back IRL, it's my best friend Ann-Marie's birthday today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ann-Marie! I'm glad your gifts made it there OK. :) I'm on the BOA & we have a meeting tonight @ 7.

Stop dwelling on past mistakes. We've all tripped on a stair or fumbled a word. But as you replay the mistake in your head, chances are everyone else has moved on. It's likely they've experienced the same types of disaster & are empathetic. Not convinced? Try to remember the last time you saw someone stumble. It's easier recalling your own blunders, isn't it?
