Good afternoon! Yes, I'm excited & although I haven't gotten much done today, I'm having a GREAT day! I'll explain later, but 1st lets start w/ yesterday. I chatted w/ Pete on the phone, made Canadian bacon for breakfast, cleaned the house, surfed eBay, & checked facebook & took my game turns. When Pete got home it was the nighttime routine & bed. Yesterday's game was the White House & Michael spent time w/ his pet, worked on his charisma skill until it was as high as he could get it for
the # of friends & relationships he has, made autumn salad for dinner, went to bed, woke up, showered, & worked on his athletic skill. That was it for yesterday. TODAY ... ahhh, today. My Chief woke me up needing some info & then I took the dogs out & started on my brand new bead banner. I like making bead banners, but to me it's one of those non-productive crafts like cross stitch or needlepoint. It produces
decorative items, not USEFUL ones. I have a problem w/ that. If I'm going to spend what little time & money I have on a craft, it better produce something USEFUL like an afghan or a sweater. Got it? I never even started the bead banner. The pattern was huge, the banner would have been huge, I tried to make it smaller but was having trouble getting it "just right" & then just gave up the whole thing. All this work, all
this time, & all this money & what does it PRODUCE? A decorative wall hanging. I enjoy it, but I can't justify the time or money spent on it. All of my unopened bead bags are going to get returned to Michael's & exchanged for YARN! Yes, yarn. One can NEVER have too much yarn & I have a list of colors I want for projects. Normally I would have just let the Bead banner spot in the schedule stay empty. A
hole in the schedule would have driven me nuts visually, but it would have meant less to do in a day & therefor a better chance of "finishing" my schedule each day. BUT, as fate would have it, I found a new craft that I'm just nuts for & it has taken the bead banner's spot. It's called Bavarian Crochet (6th pic). I love this! The colors in the photo didn't come out too well. It's really bright orange surrounded by cherry red.
The photo washed the colors out & made them look very close, they're not. Bavarian Crochet is simply a style of crocheting that creates a beautiful afghan. A good example is in the 7th pic which is someone elses that I just grabbed the photo of off the Internet so you'll see what mine will look like when it's done (except with different colors, every time). Welcome to Bavarian Crochet! My newest "thing". I'm excited, I love it! The pattern will always be the same, but the colors will be different each time, making each one look very different from the others. WOOHOO! Ok, calm down ... phew. I then got the mail (or I'd be doing the Bavarian Crochet until bedtime ... I HAD to stop myself) & here I am. My Sims game of
the day is a beautiful house built by a talented other called All American (2nd - 5th pics). My Sim for the All American is Vinnie who is unlucky, a light sleeper, a cat person, brave, & a kleptomaniac. His lifetime wish is to be a Firefighter Superhero. He likes cookies, custom music, & the color blue. He's a Sagittarius. His furry companion is Urban, an American Wirehair who's hyper, skittish, & destructive. This game started off in the spring. The 1st thing Vinnie did was join
the Firefighter profession. He then worked on his gardening skill in the beautiful little garden that came with the home. I'm going to need to do some research on this garden. Besides the basics like lettuce & tomatoes, this garden also includes special items like the flame fruit bush. Then there are the wild ones that I have no idea what to do with but I want to make sure they keep going if at all possible. I think I'm going to need an Omni Plant though to do that. I have a life plant, steak plant, burger patty plant, & a cheese plant. All products of the Omni Plant I believe. Cool! The steak he "harvested" was PERFECT quality, too. As he finished gardening, some neighbors came over to welcome him to the neighborhood & 1 of them was Scout Sargeant (female). They're now married & expecting a child. Not bad for 1 day huh? I keep staring at the 7th pic & wanting to go back to Bavarian Crocheting. The newness will wear off eventually, but for now ... it's calling me! Pete, Kyle, Sarah, & I are going to the Jazz Festival in Denton tomorrow. Speaking of Kyle, the 8th pic is a pic of him taken in school today. :)

Difficult circumstances often create paradigm shifts, whole new frames of reference by which people see the world & themselves & others in it, & what life is asking of them. Their larger perspective reflects the attitudinal values that lift & inspire us all.
Go ahead & strut your stuff! The stars say it's a good time to meet your future ex-spouse. Try to keep your search to normal places like laundromats, bars w/ a valid liquor license, or a Bowl-a-Rama.

Majority of weight loos research has found that the exact # of carbohydrate or fat grams you take in isn't as important as total calories - but tracking fiber could make a big difference. That's because the more fiber you have, the more satisfied & full you fell, & the less you'll ultimately eat. Women should aim for 25g a day; men need 38.

Prices are terrible, you know it? 14% in 1 year. Food prices. I went to the supermarket & I picked up a jar of mayonnaise. And I said to the clerk, "How much?" & he said, ".79c when you asked." -Johnny Carson 1974 (Let's not talk about how much a SMALL jar of mayonnaise is NOW)!

When purchasing flowering plants, don't buy big plants. Instead, save money by selecting smaller, less-expensive plants. Give them a few months of water & fertilizer, & they'll be lush.
