Good morning! What a long weekend ... I haven't been on here since Friday morning. Thursday night I felt a cold coming on. I was standing outside & the cold (for me) felt great. That's when I knew something was wrong. At 68° I'm usually COLD, but instead it felt great. Sure enough, I woke up Friday feeling horrible. Even still, I plodded through my day but didn't get too far. Not sure it was because of the cold though, it was a busy day. I was on the phone with Pete & Paul (not at the same time), made a bagel for breakfast, cleaned the house, surfed eBay, & checked facebook & took my game turns. My Sims game for Friday, the All American w/ Vinnie
went well. He went to bed, got up & made waffles for breakfast, showered, gardened, worked out, cleaned the house, & made waffles for breakfast again. Saturday morning I woke up feeling worse than I did Friday. No longer just a cold, it had turned into a bad cold. I didn't really feel like moving much & was all stuffed up. I took the dogs out, went to Michael's to return $30+ of pony beads. Enough of the bead banners, I took up Bavarian Crochet in its place (3rd pic) & love it. Unlike bead
banners, it produces USEFUL items, not just decorative ones. I wanted to buy several colors of Red Heart yarn for Bavarian & Mandala Crochet projects, but Michael's only had 2 of them, so I bought 2 there & then headed off to Wal*Mart to buy a bunch more yarn. Kyle helped & as a thank you I took him for his 1st driving lesson in an empty parking lot. He did well, I wasn't terrified as I had expected to be. When we got home I was really feeling poorly due to the bad cold, so I sat down to relax & work on my Bavarian Crochet until Pete called & wanted me to come to the Jazz festival in Denton. It sounded fun, but I felt so terrible ... I went anyway though. Kyle came with me & we picked up Sarah. It was
a great festival full of good music, food, arts & crafts, & a LOT of people. We walked all around town & visited some of the local shops there. I would have really enjoyed it had I not felt like I was going to die. When we came home I wanted nothing more than to curl up & go to sleep, but Pete wasn't tired so we watched 3 TV shows before bed. When I finally got to bed I was almost delirious from being so ill & then
could barely sleep because I was so stuffed up that I couldn't breathe. I swear it felt as if I was waking up every 15 minutes to blow my nose, sneeze, blow my nose again, try to get back to sleep, then do it all again just a few minutes later. Saturday's Sims game was LizC864 10 w/ Vinnie Shallow (2nd gen). I didn't get to do too much in this game because I wasn't home most of the day. All Vinnie managed to do was
sleep, shower, check the weekly events (Amateur Olympics on Saturday), clean the house, & go to school. Sunday I didn't feel any better. I woke up & took the dogs out, worked on my Bavarian Crochet, worked on my Board Knitting, the FD got toned out to mutual aid a neighboring department on a vehicle fire, I made my favorite, over easy eggs for breakfast, went through the Sunday paper, surfed eBay, hand knitted for
a couple hours, & did some LCFD stuff. My Sims game for Sunday was LizC864 7 10th pic) in Appaloosa Plains. I created Liz (1st gen). Liz is a virtuoso, childish, evil, nurturing, & a great kisser. She decided she wants to be a Hit Movie Composer & likes autumn salad, custom music, & the color sea foam. She's a Capricorn. Her furry companion is Xanadu (1st gen). One of my rare "create a dog" pets. No particular
breed & a little goofy looking. Create a dog is fun. :) Xanadu is shy, aggressive, & hyper. Liz started out by joining the music career & then working on her guitar skill. Rodney Singleton came over to welcome her to the neighborhood & they were married almost instantly (before the game day ended) & are now expecting a child. Liz made a tofu dog for dinner & headed to bed. When she woke up she showered, worked on her
guitar skill, made autumn salad for lunch, cleaned the house, & got the mail. Late last night (after midnight), Kyle made mac & cheese for he & I & that was my lunch. I took the dogs out, finished my hand knit sweater (1st pic)!, & then the nighttime routine & bed. My Sim, Liz spent time w/ her pets. This morning I still feel like a bus hit me. Sudafed & DayQuil are my friends. I took the dogs out & updated the apps on
my iPad Mini & iPhone. My Sims game of the day is a beautiful 5-story house (3 floors are underground) called Fachwerkhaus that was created by a very talented other (4th - 9th pics) in the city of Bridgeport. For Fachwerkhaus I created Lewis (1st gen). He's over-emotional, grumpy, a computer whiz, a loser, & a couch potato. His lifetime wish is Living in the Lap of Luxury. He likes pumpkin pie, custom music, & the color red. He's a Sagittarius. His furry companion is a French Bulldog named Chris who's clueless, a genius, & hydrophobic. This game starts out in the winter. So far Lewis has picked up a seed in his back yard & worked on his painting skill. Tonight is a BOA meeting & if there's enough people for a quorum, I'm not going to go because I really DO feel like doo-doo.
