April 11, 2013

Good afternoon! Yesterday was a great day for me, I got a lot done AND was able to relax & have double the fun all at once. Pete didn't have to go into work until a little later so he was still here when I made breakfast so I got to eat breakfast w/ him. I made snausages for us & he made himself an egg muffin that would put McDonald's to shame. I changed one of the bathroom lights, cleaned the bedroom mirror, dusted the misc. decor in the dining room, did the dishes & cleaned the sink, dusted the audio system, mopped my office, processed a book out of my inbox, cleaned the front porch a little (it was cold & pouring so I just grabbed something that wasn't supposed to be out there & brought it in), fed the pets, & swept the dining room. I went through the mail, surfed eBay, checked facebook & took my game turns, tried to figure out the FaceTime app on my iPad Mini & don't have a clue how it works on a device with no phone capability, tried to go to work on my business but after clearing the unsold items, packaging up & shipping the sold items, I found that my scanner is no longer working & therefor couldn't list any new items other than the Kindle Fire (2nd pic). I went to work on my Website & decided to create my plastic canvas page. It came out GREAT! Check it out!! http://www.LizC864.com/Hobbies/Plastic/ I also took a pic of my current project, a
book cover (3rd pic). I then went to enjoy some time in PSPX5 creating graphics & came up with a Webpage layout that I just love. I went back to my plastic canvas page & set it up. Again, check it out! :) I made a chili cheese dog for lunch & then picked Kyle up in Princeton. When we got home I took the dogs out & was done for the day. I switched over to the Sims game of the day that was already in progress throughout the day & pulled out my plastic canvas & sat there & worked on my project while my Sim did his thing. Double the fun! What a great day. I wish all days were that easy. I guess Wednesday is a good day for me schedule-wise. :) I played Sims & worked on plastic canvas until Pete got home & was ready for dinner. Nighttime routine & bed. My Sim had a good day, too. Since the Tahoe Pines game was last played pre-Seasons, I started it off in the spring. Michael
Shallow cleaned the house, showered, had a leftover cake slice for dinner & went to bed. He woke up & headed off to school, came home & did his homework, then worked on the inventing skill until it was time to clean the house, had canned soup for dinner & went to bed. He woke up, showered & headed to school. After that it was solid gameplay while I worked on my plastic canvas & I stopped logging anything other than milestone events. When Michael aged up into a teen he gained the mooch trait. Still no useable work-related traits, so he's just going to work on random skills until he becomes a young adult & chooses a career. This morning I took the dogs out & worked on my bead banner for a bit & then loaded up my LizC864 6 house that I built (4th pic). This was a brand new game that had been set up but not really played yet. Tasha (1st gen) had only gotten a job in the music career & nothing else yet. This was also a pre-Seasons game, so I started it out in the summer. Tasha's new boss is Xavier Levine, so I had her call him & chat, then invite him over. By the end of the evening they were married & pregnant & had adopted a La Perm kitten named Mags to keep Tasha's cat Kyle company. She made autumn salad for dinner & that's where the game will continue from for the remainder of today. Back IRL, Ann-Marie's birthday on Monday!

Don't leave your chair for the entire day. Instead of getting up, you have to wheel around the office.

Paging Dr. Red! That's not a real doctor's name - it's a codeword used in hospitals over the public address system to alert security personnel of fire w/o causing a panic.

Right here in San Fernando Valley, you could stroll along Burbank's famed restaurant row. If you're w/ that very special someone, there's a romantic spot you probably don't know about. Tavern on the Dump. It's very sanitary, & that's important. It's very sanitary. All the waitresses wear hair nets. On their legs. -Johnny Carson 1979

Strengthen relationships. Pay attention to the small things your family & friends do for you. In a recent study, couples recorded the gratitude they felt for their partners, whether it was for taking the kids to soccer practice or shoveling the driveway. The subjects reported feeling more connected to their loved ones for over 1 day afterward.

Within the freedom to choose are those endowments that make us uniquely human. In addition to self-awareness, we have imagination - the ability to create in our minds beyond our present reality.
