♥ FireProof 2013 ♥

Saturday was a busy day, I didn't even make it to lunch. I did manage to get the mail, chat w/ Pete, work on my Daisy Lace knit while watching D.O.A., Kyle drove himself to the lake (w/ me of course & then I drove back after dropping him off), surfed eBay, checked facebook & took my game turns, chatted w/ Pete again, worked on my Lace Doily Crochet while watching C.C. & Company, Worked on my Mandala Crochet page on my personal Website, took the dogs out, & then picked Kyle up from the lake & spoke to Josh about renting our other house from us. We got home later than I had hoped because I had to get to bed EARLY for work the next day. My Sims game for Saturday was Mediterranean Villa & my
Sim Ugene went to the university on a distinguished fine arts degree. He's been going to classes full time. Sunday morning I was up at 6:20a. I took the dogs out & made breakfast, showered, & as I was heading for the door to go to work, the FD got toned out to a med call. There was no way I could be late ... it's not that kind of job. I absolutely HAD to be in a certain place at a certain time. I ended up on Bridgefarmer Rd literally right in front of the Chief in 35 en route to the call. I did my job & when I got home I worked on my Bavarian Crochet, chatted w/ Kyle about important life choices & our plans for his last free summer, the FD got toned out to a med call while we were at our other house talking to Josh & Matthew about them renting if from us, came home & Pete wanted to relax & watch some TV, then I worked on my Board Knitting & finally watched the NEW Footloose (I liked the original much better), went through the Sunday paper,
surfed eBay, Hand Knitted while finally watching Abduction (GREAT MOVIE!), the FD got toned out to an electrical fire, I updated the apps on my personal Website by removing RemoteLink (an OnStar app), Pete chatted w/ him mom on my phone about a PC issue she's needing help with, we ordered pizza delivery for lunch, & I took the dogs out. Yesterday's Sims game was the Goth house. My Sim Misty II went off to the university on a distinguished science & medicine award after the baby was born ... Lewis Goth (3rd gen). Lewis is easily impressed & artistic which means he'll do well at painting, writing, & music.
He'll probably go for a fine arts degree when the time comes. Lewis is a Pisces who likes soul music, fried peanut butter & banana sandwiches, & the color gray. This morning I'm not going to get much of anything done. I took the dogs out & then started a 2 hour movie that took 4 hours to watch. Pete called, Pete called again, the FD got toned out to mutual aid a structure fire in a neighboring town, Kyle is extremely chatty & needs a hobby or a job (LOL!), I updated Ravelry (pics), & finally finished the movie ... which turned out to be a life altering experience. I don't have many of those. The movie FireProof is more than a movie. It's a 2 hour long infomercial for a product. The best damn infomercial I've ever seen! As I said, it was life altering & changed the way I feel down to my very soul. It's rare when something rocks me down to my core like this. After the movie was over & once I finished crying & could see my computer screen
again, I went to FireProofMyMarriage.com & bought the book (from the movie ... the 40 day dare) & although I know it's going to be extremely difficult, I'm going to do it. Just like in the movie, I don't think Pete's going to be too receptive. It's most likely going to be just like the movie in the beginning ... rejection, suspicion, confusion ... I have no idea how it will end. I don't know if it will be a success or not, but it's worth trying. It sure can't make things worse. It can however make me very angry along the way. It WILL be difficult. Rejection is never easy. Having someone question your motives & be suspicious of nice gestures can hurt. I'm in for a rough road ahead. Which me luck. I hope I'm strong enough inside to see it through & to not get angry & explode when the nice things I do are ignored or rejected. I may be watching the movie over & over & over to help me get through it. The Website will help also. I'm going to sign up later & at the site I'll be
among others who are doing the same. We can give each other strength & support. The book should be here Thursday at the earliest. I hope it comes soon, I can't wait to start. I'll probably print out the beginning pages they offer on their site & start today. The 1st 32 pages of the book are available to download, so there's no need to wait. I can start today & the book will HOPEFULLY come before I finish the free download which will take me through day 5. Today's Sims game, which is completely overshadowed by FireProof, but still going, is Mark XII. My Sim Misty is already in the university & doing well. She's going to classes full time. To sum up today's blog I'd like to strongly suggest that if you're married you watch FireProof, then go to FireProofMyMarriage.com, buy the book, & then go to 40daylovedare.com & sign up. Hopefully I'll see you there!

Don't marry a person that you know you can live with; marry someone that you cannot live without.

Holding people to the responsible course isn't demeaning; it's affirming. Proactivity is part of human nature, & although the proactive muscles may be dormant, they're there. By respecting the proactive nature of other people, we provide them w/ at least 1 clear, undistorted reflection from the social mirror.

I suppose the big news around the world is taking place in the Soviet Union, right? The fall of communism, which is a whole new experience for the Russian people. And I don't think they really know quite what to make of it. A reporter went on the street the other day & asked a Soviet citizen what it was like to get a taste of freedom, & the guy said, "It tastes a lot like chicken."

You may love chocolate, but not as much as the Swiss do. Everyone there, on average, eats about 25.6 lbs. of chocolate every year.
