Good afternoon! Monday & Tuesday were both very busy days. Monday I chatted w/ Pete, worked on my Broomstick Lace Crochet, surfed eBay, checked facebook & took my game turns, started day 1 of Fireproof & day 1 will be a multi-day project as I wait for the book to arrive because their Website is screwed up. I cleared my inbox for the last time & removed it completely from my schedule,
& made sure the link to my Ravelry page worked from my personal Website. My Sims game for Monday was Mark XII & my Sim Misty is in the university towards a fine arts degree & has been going to classes. Yesterday I took the dogs out & then did e-mail all day. I'm down to 4,031 e-mails & it should take me about another month to completely catch up. Once it's completely caught up, it will no longer take an entire
day to not even get through all of them. I took a break from e-mail 3X ... to drop Kyle off at the library, pick him up from Boy Scouts, & chat w/ Pete. Pete called to inform me that we're going to Myrtle Beach in 2 weeks. YAY! Beach! Family! Sand! Sun! VACATION! Those are the up-sides. The downsides ... fuel cost, bonding with & training my brand new kitten, the other pets WILL miss me as I will miss them, the Fireproof project (Kyle & I will be there a month, Pete will only be there 3 days), my job, my life & all the stuff that goes with it which is HERE, Kyle's job search, Kyle's ability to make money this summer to pay for fuel, buy a car & pay for college, etc. I really really want to go, but it's going to be hard. I'll miss my pets, my kitten will double in size in the month I'm gone & won't even know me when I get back because he's so young right now, my stuff ... ugh! Why does this have to be so hard? I really DO want to go ... but ... but ... back & forth ... the good & the inconvenient ... damn! Life would be SO much easier if we just lived there. Most of our family is there already, & it would make everything MUCH easier & cheaper. Holidays, major events ... instead of having to drive a couple thousand miles each time ... we're already there. I REALLY want to move to Conway. Why haven't we? 1) Kyle wants to finish his final year of high school in the school he's ALWAYS been in since kindergarten. 2) Pete says there's no work out there. Not that pays enough for him to support a house like he does here. 3) Income tax. Oh, & it's more than just selling our house & moving. We have TWO houses & 1 of them (our other house), isn't sellable. Also, we own an acre of land that we'd need to sell, or rent, or something. Life sure got complicated. I remember 20 like it was yesterday. No complications. If I wanted to move to the other side of the planet & had the money to get there, no problem. Simple. Easy. Now every single decision has a LONG list of pros & cons & weighing them all out to make the RIGHT decision which in most cases feels like choosing the lesser of 2 evils takes so much time & effort that we usually just say screw it & ditch the whole idea. THINKING about it is too complicated. Sheesh! I just made alist of the pros & cons of moving. Assuming all points are equal, there are twice as many cons. Assuming weighted points (family is worth a LOT more than weather ... a good job is worth a lot more than food we're accustomed to, etc.), then it's difficult again. We'd need to assign a point system to each item & then score it. Family of course on a scale of 1-10 would be worth 10 points. Food is worth 1 point. A good job is 9 points, etc. OK, I just scored everything & not moving still wins. Damn, I really wanted to ... but that's just me & wasn't even one of the points. I only put in real things we'd have to deal with ... not my own personal feelings about "wanting" to move there. Move: 34. Don't move: 55. Without scoring, just pros vs cons ... Move: 6. Don't move: 10. Either way I look at it, it's not a good idea. Oh well. Yesterday's Sims game was Lots To Give & my Sim Ivan went to the University towards a Science & Medicine degree. He went to class ... nothing else, just 1 class, because I did nothing but e-mail yesterday so I only loaded Sims, sent him to 1 class, & then did e-mail until Pete got home. This morning I took the dogs out & then drove to Benny's Bagels w/ Kyle for breakfast, then Kyle drove to Circle 10 to get a book he needed, & then drove home. I went through the mail & then cleaned out a little more of my AOL favorites. Today's Sims game is Lombardi (1st & 2nd pics). I set this game up in Bridgeport in the winter & created Yvette (1st gen). Yvette is a perfectionist, a snob, & a bookworm who's a light sleeper & a kleptomaniac. Her dream is to be living in the lap of luxury & she likes tofu dogs, custom music, & the color spiceberry. She's a Gemini. Her furry companion is Nikki, a Puggle who's adventurous, destructive, & hyper. Yvette went to the university on an apprentice science award. She's been working on her writing skill & waiting for classes to start.
About the only way you could cool off in the valley was to strop nude & breakdance in the frozen food section at Lucky's. It was so - I got another one, might as well throw it in - it was so hot on Santa Monica Boulevard, the flashers were selling breeze. -Johnny Carson 1984

Dumb: Robbing a pizza delivery girl. Dumber: Asking her out on a date a few minutes later. Dumbest: Giving her a cell phone #, which she turned over to the cops.
