June 20, 2013

Morning. No, it's not a good one for me. I got woken up at 4:20 in the morning with a phone call. Not the kind that makes you sad, the kind that makes your blood pressure spike in a second flat. The kind that involved a TEENAGER. You do the math & extrapolate from there. 2½ hours sleep & a STUPID teen. This morning I had a quick chat with Tommy Jordan about the situation & got some useful ideas, but I'm still SO angry ... & tired. Let's just say SOMEONE just lost his permit & won't be
driving until he's 18, lost his laptop, lost ALL Internet access in this house, & is SO grounded! I never did this as a teen. You know why? Because I feared death. I feared painful bodily harm. Back then an officer would have EXPECTED my mom to punch me in the head right then & there & I would have KNOWN it was coming. ANYWAY ... yesterday was a better day than today started out to be. Almost ANY day was a better day than today started out to be. Yesterday I chatted w/ Andrew on the phone, got the mail & included was a package I was anxiously waiting for, I swept & mopped my crafting room, Kyle drove himself to & from WalMart for shopping he needed to do for a Boy Scout campout tonight through Saturday, the FD got toned out to a med call while we were out, I got back & made a cheese omelet for breakfast, cleaned the house & ended up doing a project of rewiring the living room since we no longer need or use the DirecTV DVR. At least now we have surround sound through the Wii which we didn't have before. I hate rewiring components, but it needed to be done. I surfed eBay & listed one of Pete's vintage computers for him, checked facebook & took my game turns, read Fireproof's love dare for day 4, & then went over to work on my Interlocking Filet Stitch Crochet but as I moved all my stuff into the living room I noticed that Pete had just gotten home for the evening. Yesterday's Sims game was the Japanese Lake Retreat & my Sim Uma went to the university on a distinguished fine arts award. Since this was a pre-seasons game, I started it off in the fall. This morning after my early morning 4:20a wake up call, I came back, yelled at Kyle for a bit, then tried to go back to sleep but had a difficult time due to stress levels. When I finally did fall asleep, I didn't sleep well & ended up getting right back up a couple hours later & took the dogs out & updated the apps on my iPad Mini. 1st day of summer tomorrow! A LONG & unhappy one for Kyle, but I am going to make the most of it. I refuse to let that boy ruin another summer. He can grump out all he wants, I am going to ENJOY my summer regardless.

I have some good news & the bad news. The good news is, as you know, the peace treaty's going to be signed Monday, between Egypt & Israel & the White House. The bad news is, the oil companies have just declared war on the American public. -Johnny Carson 1979

Instead of buying air fresheners, purchase fragrant flowers, such as lilies, or grow fragrant flowers in your garden to cut & bring indoors.
