I did nothing yesterday & it was all I thought it would be. :) I woke up, blogged, took Josh to work, began my Sims3 blog, & then played Sims. It was great! It was relaxing. I finally got to unwind. I worked on the next house I'm building & decorating called Northmont. The 3rd, 4th, & 5th pictures shows Northmont during the day, it's the house on the left, along with the neighboring house. 4th pic is Northmont at night, & 5th pic is the 3rd bathroom out of 4 in the house that I completed yesterday. After working on my creation, I played the Goth house again yesterday. Demi, my 1st generation dog, a Pharaoh Hound, died from old age & the puppy we adopted for our daughter had to be put back up for adoption before she died. She got stuck. That's been happening often lately. Mostly with pets, but I did have a Sim get stuck once lately, too. She couldn't move. She was stuck in the back yard on a hill. She was hungry, tired, lonely, & couldn't be moved. If I left her there, she would have almost died & the animal welfare people would have came & taken her away along with all the other pets in

the house. By putting her up for adoption,  they came & took her & not only did it save her life, but we didn't lose all the other pets in the house for mistreating 1. Now we're down to 1 dog, Cheech, who we adopted the day my 1st generation Sim got married. We then gave birth to the 2nd Generation ... Misty II Goth. She's a lazy slob who's a Libra, likes Latin music, veggi rolls, & the color blue. When she became a child she gained the dog person trait. Once she entered high school, she decided she wanted to go into the Science career. This means her final 2 traits will be Green Thumb & Handy, which both helps her with that career. Misty, her mom & 1st generation Sim had enough lifetime points when Misty II aged up to school-age, that she purchased the Age Freeze Potion. That's a new one! She drank it & is now immortal. She wasn't an elder yet, so she's now forever looking just the way I created
her ... young adult & adult look the same. Misty II's Dad, Mortimer, became partners in the theater where he works. Misty met him at work at City Hall, but it wasn't his lifetime wish to become Leader of the Free World as it was Misty's, so when they got married he quit his job & is pursuing a career in the symphonic music industry since he has the Virtuoso trait. Misty II graduated high school & married Jeb Busby who she met in high school. They've
successfully became pregnant & their child will be named Liz or Lewis Busby. This is where I shut down the game for the day, so when I open the Goth game up next, they still need to adopt a male puppy, change both their names, & get jobs. The final pic is the Goth house, off the kitchen ... an interesting little room with a sunken area to relax & play chess. Interesting building, I like the person who built this house. City Council meeting Tuesday.

A good rule of thumb that they tell folks is if you can live off of 7% of your investments per year at retirement, then you've got an adequate nest egg. But be careful. Statistically speaking, if you live to 65, you have a real high likelihood of making it to 90, barring serious health issues. So you've got to figure 25 years on average in your planning.

Luculent:
Clear in thought or expression.
"I have expressed my feelings in luculent terms," her wrote, "and since there can be no question about what I mean, I simply await her response."
To shed light on the meaning of this word, 1 need only look at its root - the Latin noun lux, meaning "light." The English word 1st appeared in the 15th century with the meaning "brilliant" or "shining," as in "a luculent flame." By the mid-16th century, the "clear in thought or expression" sense began to shine. "Luculent" is now rare, even in the "clear" sense: today's writers seem to prefer "lucid," another lux decendant with a similar meaning.

People in your office recently held a baby shower for you after work. They gave you a collective gift. how do you write a thank-you note?
It's okay to write a collective note for a joint gift, especially when there have been many people involved - say, more than 3. (If only 2 of 3 people join together, it's better to write to each 1.) Write your note, with the salutation "Dear Friends," thanking everyone for the shower & the gift. Mail the note to the office manager, the main party organizer, or the person who seems like the best communicator. That person will be responsible for routing the note to everyone involved.

School principal murdered by student in Wisconsin (2006):
John Klang, the principal of Weston High School in Cazenovia, Wisconsin, is shot and killed by 15-year-old student Eric Hainstock on September 29, 2006. The incident takes place amidst a spate of school violence across North America, including a shooting rampage at a Canadian college on September 13 and a hostage situation at a Colorado high school on September 27.
Hainstock, who had recently had been given a disciplinary warning by his principal for bringing tobacco to school, took guns from his parents’ home in the small Wisconsin farming community of Cazenovia and brought the weapons to school.  Before classes began on the morning of September 29, Hainstock pointed a gun at a teacher, but the weapon was grabbed away by a janitor. The student then ran into the hallway where he encountered the principal and shot him several times. Klang, who managed to wrestle Hainstock to the floor and move the gun away, died a few hours later. Hainstock was detained by other students and school personnel. He was apparently upset by a disciplinary warning he’d received from Klang the day before the shooting for bringing tobacco to school and also angered that teachers hadn’t stopped other students from bullying him. In August 2007, Hainstock was found guilty of first-degree intentional homicide and sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 30 years.
On September 13, two weeks before the violence in Cazenovia, Kimveer Gill, 25, went on a shooting rampage at Dawson College in Quebec, Canada. One female student was killed and 19 others were injured before Gill turned the gun on himself after being shot by police. Then, on September 27, drifter Duane Morrison, 53, took six female students hostage at Platte Canyon High School in Bailey, Colorado. Morrison sexually assaulted some of the students and later shot and killed 16-year-old Emily Keyes when a SWAT team burst into the room where he was holding her and another student. Morrison then shot himself in the head and died at the scene. School violence continued when less than a week later, on October 2, milk-truck driver Charles Roberts, 32, killed five girls at a one-room Amish schoolhouse in Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania. Roberts turned his gun on himself and committed suicide when police arrived.
