What a busy day yesterday! I only managed to get ½ a panel of downtime on the knitting machine. Josh helped me yesterday by doing the dishes & sweeping while I scrubbed the tub some more (my arms had given out the day before), de-cobwebbed the bedroom, fed the cats & dogs, moved the flowers that were in the kitchen window to the dining room table, scrubbed the heck out of the kitchen store (looks new again), cleaned another sofa cushion (2 down, 2 to go), mopped the kitchen, sync'd my iPhone in my office, swept the bathroom, changed the bedding, & changed the afghan that's on the sofa. After than I showered & did ½ a panel for the afghan & then it was out the door to the 9/11 Memorial & BBQ at our station. We had a great turnout! Josephine & Princeton FDs joined us for the event along with the local newspaper, 1st Response Photography, the Fire Marshal's office, & more. Thank you to everyone who came out, we appreciate your participation! After the ceremony & in the middle of the BBQ, we got toned out to a med call. Paul, Kathy, & I ran to the truck & responded. By the time we got back the party had broken up & thank you to everyone who stayed & did the cleanup & put the trucks back in the bays. Otherwise, we would have surely been there until midnight after the call cleaning up & breaking everything down. If there's 1 thing we've got, it's teamwork. :) I finally got home around 11 & everyone was in bed already. Pete heard me batting around & getting changed & got back up for a little bit to watch TV with me. We got to bed earlier than usual (I was wiped out) & today looks busy too. In addition to the normal stuff, Josh may need a ride to work which is almost in Frisco & Kyle needs a ride to a store where he's got a deal brewing. LCFD business meeting Tuesday.

Balance:

Balance is an app designed to help you keep track of the balances of all of your accounts. Intended to replace a paper-based checkbook register, Balance maintains a list of credits and debits to each of your accounts. Balance Pro is now available as an upgrade to Balance via In App Purchase. Balance Pro adds support for multiple accounts and recurring transactions. To upgrade to Balance Pro, tap on the gear icon in the lower-right corner of the screen to bring up the settings screen and then choose "Upgrade to Balance Pro." The upgrade takes place from inside the app and once complete the additional features will be unlocked; there's no additional app to download.

Behemoth:

Season One of Entourage--a TV show about life in Hollywood--comes to an end (2004):

On this day in 2004, the first season finale of the television comedy series Entourage, about a hot young actor in Hollywood and the posse of people surrounding him, premieres on HBO. Entourage, which debuted on July 18, 2004, stars Adrian Grenier as the up-and-coming movie heartthrob Vincent Chase, who is navigating his way through the pitfalls and excesses of Hollywood. Vince’s entourage includes Eric “E” Murphy (Kevin Connolly), his manager and childhood friend from Queens, New York; his half-brother, the C-list actor Johnny “Drama” Chase (Kevin Dillon, the real-life brother of the actor Matt Dillon); Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), another childhood friend from Queens who is content to ride Vince’s coattails; and Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven), Vince’s aggressive, high-strung agent. Prior to Entourage, Adrian Grenier, who was born on July 10, 1976, appeared in such movies as The Adventures of Sebastian Cole (1998), Woody Allen’s Celebrity (1998), Drive Me Crazy (1999) and Harvard Man (2001). In 2006, he was featured in the box-office hit The Devil Wears Prada, starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep. Grenier is also the director and producer of Shot in the Dark, a documentary about his search for his biological father that aired on HBO in 2007.

The most seasoned main cast member of Entourage is Jeremy Piven, who was born on July 26, 1965, to parents who founded Chicago’s Piven Theater Workshop in the 1970s. Piven began his professional acting career in the late 1980s and has appeared in a long list of TV shows and movies, including several (Say Anything, Grosse Pointe Blank, Serendipity) with his childhood friend John Cusack. As of 2008, Piven has earned three Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance as the volatile Ari Gold.
