Happy 1st day of fall! The AC units were supposed to come out of the windows, especially out of my office window now that I have the wishing well waterfall out there in front of it, but it's 98° already today. I think the AC unit can stay 1 more day. Rats! Yesterday I made the bed, fed the cats & dogs, thoroughly cleaned the dining room table (really people?), cleaned the kitchen stovetop, dusted off more electronics in the living room, mopped the bedroom, blew the dust out of the knitting machine, & swept the closet. After that I drove Josh to work & made some macaroni & cheese for Kyle & I just as the bus pulled
up. I knitted the 2nd panel of the mock cable afghan, put the wishing well fountain together & got it all set up out front, & then it was Matrix (Sims) time. I loaded up one of the 1st houses I had built & decorated. In all the years I've been playing this game, I've always HEARD of the Goth family & the Goth mansion, but I've never seen it up close. Well imagine my surprise when I FINALLY met a Goth. My Sim Misty married Mortimer Goth & right there I split the game off. When I play a house I made, I stay in that house ... but this was my 1st chance in years to move into the Goth mansion. I saved the game right before they took their vows & made a note on my game sheet to pick up that game where it left off but to STAY in that house as the Goth mansion has already been split off into a new game. I got a new sheet of paper & copied all the info over & named the new game "Goth". The Goth mansion is shown in the screenshot above. It's VERY nice. Whoever designed & built this house in the game knew what they were doing. Misty is now pregnant & they're expecting the 2nd generation of this game who will be named Misty II or Mortimer Jr. The screenshot doesn't show the pool in the back, the pond filled with fish, the graveyard, or any of the other beautiful settings back there. There's also a small room with a chess table that's half a level down off the main floor & is open up to the 2nd floor. The whole thing is just  ... WOW! And talk about WAY out of town ... there's some nice privacy out here on this lot. I feel sorry for the poor paper boy who has to ride all the way out here every morning. LOL! Anyway, when Pete got home we watched some NCIS & the got to bed & caught up on all the sleep we missed during the week. I think we finally crawled out of bed around 1:p. It feels good to be FULLY rested & this is one of the reasons I love Saturdays. LCFD Training Tuesday.

Don't forget the tablecloth! No picnic table is properly set without one.

Friends debuts (1994):
On this day in 1994, the television sitcom Friends, about six young adults living in New York City, debuts on NBC. The show, which featured a group of relatively unknown actors, went on to become a huge hit and air for 10 seasons. It also propelled the cast--Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer--to varying degrees of stardom and success in Hollywood.
Of the six main Friends cast members, Jennifer Aniston emerged as arguably the most famous. Aniston played the fashion-loving Rachel Green, who, when the show began, worked as a waitress at Central Perk, a coffee shop that served as a gathering spot for the friends. The actress’s blonde, layered hairstyle during the first season became known as “The Rachel” and was copied by women around the globe. Off-screen, Aniston, whose film credits include The Good Girl (2002), Bruce Almighty (2003), Rumor Has It (2005) and The Break-Up (2006), became a tabloid-media fixture for her relationship with the actor Brad Pitt. The couple married in a lavish ceremony in Malibu, California, in 2000 and announced their separation in early 2005 amid soon-to-be-confirmed rumors of Pitt’s involvement with the actress Angelina Jolie.
Courteney Cox, the best known of the cast members when Friends debuted, played Monica Geller, a neurotic, hyper-organized chef. The actress, who first gained notice when she appeared in the 1984 Bruce Springsteen video “Dancing in the Dark,” acted in the popular sitcom Family Ties and co-starred opposite Jim Carrey in 1994’s hit comedy Ace Ventura, Pet Detective (1994). She was later featured in the successful Scream movies and the TV series Dirt. Since 1999, she has been married to the actor David Arquette and goes by the professional name Courtney Cox Arquette. The third female Friends cast member, Lisa Kudrow, portrayed the wacky masseuse-musician Phoebe Buffay. Kudrow’s film credits include Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion (1997), The Opposite of Sex (1998), Analyze This (1999) and its sequel Analyze That (2002) and P.S. I Love You (2007). In 2005, she headlined the well-reviewed but short-lived HBO comedy series The Comeback.
The male Friends included Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani, a handsome but dim-witted struggling actor. From 2004 to 2006, LeBlanc starred in the spin-off TV series Joey.
David Schwimmer played Ross Geller, a sensitive paleontologist and Monica’s older brother. One of the main storylines on Friends was Ross’s on-again, off-again relationship with Aniston’s Rachel. Schwimmer’s other acting credits include the 2001 TV mini-series Band of Brothers. Rounding out the Friends cast was Matthew Perry, who played the wisecracking businessman Chandler Bing. Perry’s film credits include Fools Rush In (1997), The Whole Nine Yards (2000) and The Whole Ten Yards (2004); more recently, he co-starred on the short-lived NBC comedy-drama series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
On May 6, 2004, more than 50 million viewers reportedly tuned in to the final episode of Friends, making it one of the most-watched TV finales in history.

Wifty:
Eccentrically silly, giddy, or inane : dizzy.
The actress herself is intelligent & serious, & has very little in common with the wifty character she plays on TV.
Like "ditzy," a synonym for today's word, the origins of "wifty" remain unknown. its earliest print appearances are in a pair of TV Guide issues from September 8 & 15, 1979, though "wifty" was certainly being used in spoken English before that. "Ditzy" appears to be a little older than "wifty" - we're able to trace it back to at least 1973. But "dizzy," which in its Old English origins meant "foolish" or "stupid," has been used in a sense similar to "ditzy" & "wifty" since the early 1500s.
