Good morning, salutations, greetings, & hello. This is one slim pay period. I have NO cash on me, & my checking account is dangerously low. I also owe a little more than usual to BillMeLater due to a couple cool Black Friday deals that I found online. No worries though, tomorrow is payday. Yesterday was a nice relaxing day. I knitted a gold wide panel on the knitting machine, Windexed the mirrors & folded some laundry, went through the mail, checked eBay, my horoscope, the Win8 Store, & Twitter, then it was Sims time! I finished
the dining room on Worthington which has a small 4-person dining table but doing that made room for a bar. Then I loaded up one of my earlier creations, Ottawa Valley. I created Misty (1st gen) who's a workaholic, absent minded, ambitious, loves the cold, & is insane. With no real 'skills', I gave her a lifetime wish of being CEO of a Mega-Corporation. She likes Stu Surprise, custom music, & the color orange. She's a Capricorn. Her furry buddy is Trinity. An
Afghan Hound who likes swimming, is skittish & quiet. They started off in the summer with a beautiful 83° at 8:a. At work Misty met Thornton Wolff. They eventually married & when it came time to choose a home, (his or hers), normally I would always choose hers since I was playing the house I had created. Well, it popped the box up for me to choose & I was looking at his ... it looked really nice. He also showed up in a Porsche, so I knew
he wasn't poor. There was something about the little tiny picture of his house that interested me. I decided to break my rule & choose his house. If I hated it, or at least disliked it more than mine, I could always drop out of the game without saving & go back in, marry him again & this time choose my house ... which is what I assumed I'd do. I was merely curious since his house did look kinda nice. Well, I had to change the game. So much for Ottawa
Valley! He lived in Lone Wolff Manor. I took so many screenshots of this place because it was simply beautiful, but only posted a few here. It's out on a peninsula, far away from town or any other houses. The peninsula is raised up with cliffs on 3 sides & the views are amazing. The 1st screenshot is a view of the house from out over the water. You can see the solitude & beauty of this lot from out there. The next shot was as they pulled up to the house. It's
at the end of the street so you have no traffic. Any cars on this street are coming to this house ... period. The inside is beautiful. Kudos to the designer(s)! I love the layout & the decor. My only complaint is that it's a 1 bedroom home. That means I'm sticking beds in odd places for future generations. Yes, I could add on to the house, but why mess with perfection? I'm trying to make as little changes as possible. I want this house to stay original. The next
shot is taken from in the living room looking out at the lighthouse. As I said the views in all directions are amazing & I only shared a few of the many screenshots that I took in every direction from this house, which is FULL of windows so you can enjoy your beautiful panoramic views. If I lived in a house like this, located where this one is, I might spend a lot less time playing Sims & more time just taking in the breathtaking views in real life. The next shot was taken
from somewhere on the wraparound deck. There's also a large deck on the 2nd floor & 2 pools. I liked this shot because the moon was setting & you could see the reflection of the moon bouncing off the water. SO PRETTY! I don't even want to know what a home just like this, in a location just like this, would cost in real life. Staggering, I'm sure. The next shot is of the shark infested waters off the coast of the home. I saw a lot of aquatic activity & thought "Oooh, nice fishing spot!" & then zoomed in to see the fish. Not just fish ... sharks! Lots of them. The final screenshot is of the dining room in Worthington. Anyway, Misty & Thornton had a son, Quinn Wolff (2nd gen). He's athletic which is convenient since his crib & now his "bedroom" are down in the basement which before he was born was only an exercise room. Large mirror, treadmill, weight machine, & television. His crib was placed underneath the stairs & when he became a child I set up his bed & nightstands out on the deck just outside the exercise room. It's a covered deck so I don't have to worry about him getting rained on, but am unsure what will happen to him in the winter when the temperature drops. I may have no choice but to move his bed up into the only bedroom in the house, forcing both he & his parents to share the one & only bedroom, which will mess with the perfection that is this home. I already didn't like creating a "bedroom" out on the lower level covered deck & I sure don't want to make the beautiful bedroom in the home look crowded, but with 3 generations per home & only 1 bedroom, I don't have many choices here. Add walls to the lower level deck? Crowd the 1 bedroom inside the house? I haven't decided yet. It's so beautiful as it was ... I hate to mess with it. Anyway, another issue with Quinn being outside on the deck is the fact that he hates the outdoors, so his mood drops for 8 hours a night while he's sleeping in the great outdoors. Poor kid. As much as I hate to mess with the decor in the house, maybe I'll just move the exercise room to the deck & move his makeshift bedroom inside. That would make more sense ... I guess. He's a Pisces who likes roots music, vegetarian grilled salmon, the color spice brown, & he's frugal ... which is a pain in my butt because if I turn my back on him for just a few seconds, he's walking around the house turning off all the stereos. Hey! Buddy! I was listening to & enjoying that you little butthead! :) Funny how momma is just the opposite, she's one of those Sims who, when finished watching the television, just gets up & walks away. Doesn't even turn it off. Most Sims do, but she doesn't. Now she has a son who turns off everything in the house on you. I guess they balance each other out well. Back in real life, when Pete came home from his Board of Adjustments meeting, we went out to grab a bite to eat at KFC & then stopped at the auto parts store to pick up a new hydraulic jack, & then stopped at the grocery store to grab some staples. When we got back to the house I started slow cooking a pot roast for lunch today & it smells SO good in here! The pot roast looks great. When Pete gets home to pick Josh up for work this afternoon, we're all going to eat well. :) December is coming on Saturday!

Danger of surfing credit card rates & moving debt around all the time from one place to another to get a better deal is you get yourself emotionally under the illusion that you've done something. You haven't. The habits that got you into debt & the habits that have kept you from living on less than you make so that you can pay off your debt - those habits didn't change because you changed credit cards. Those habits are your real problem.
On this day in 2011, Conrad Murray, the physician convicted of
involuntary manslaughter in the 2009 death of singer Michael Jackson, is
sentenced in a Los Angeles County courtroom to four years behind bars.
The iconic pop star died at age 50 at his California
home after suffering cardiac arrest while under the influence of
propofol, a surgical anesthetic given to him by Murray as a sleep aid.
Jackson, who was born in 1958 in Gary, Indiana, rose to fame performing as a boy with his older brothers in a music group called the Jackson 5. With his 1982 solo album “Thriller,” Jackson achieved international superstardom. However, by the 1990s, he became known for increasingly eccentric and reclusive behavior, and his physical appearance was radically altered through multiple plastic surgeries. In 2005, amidst intense media coverage, Jackson was tried and acquitted on child molestation charges.
In March 2009, after a lengthy time away from the public spotlight, Jackson announced he would perform a series of comeback concerts in London starting in July. That spring, Murray, a cardiologist raised in Trinidad, was hired at a monthly salary of $150,000 to serve as Jackson’s personal physician while the singer rehearsed for his upcoming shows. Late in the morning on June 25, Jackson was found unconscious in bed in his mansion in the Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles by Murray, who tried unsuccessfully to revive him. The legendary entertainer was pronounced dead at 2:26 that afternoon at nearby Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office ruled the performer’s death a homicide after lethal levels of the powerful sedative propofol, as well other drugs, were found in his system. In February 2010, Murray, who had given Jackson propofol as a sleep aid almost every night for two months prior to his death, was charged with involuntary manslaughter. He pleaded not guilty. During his trial, which began in September 2011, Murray was portrayed by the prosecution as an incompetent, greedy opportunist who recklessly gave Jackson propofol in an unmonitored setting (the drug typically is administered only in a hospital) and kept no records, among other serious medical errors. Prosecutors said Murray set aside sound medical judgment by relenting when Jackson, one of the world’s most famous men, regularly begged him for propofol in order to sleep. Additionally, Murray was accused of belatedly calling 911 after discovering Jackson had stopped breathing, and with lying to paramedics and emergency-room doctors. The defense argued that Jackson, who was plagued by insomnia, self-administered the fatal dose of the drug.
On November 7, after deliberating for less than two days, a Los Angeles County jury found Murray guilty. Three weeks later, on November 29, the trial judge sentenced the 58-year-old to a four-year jail term, the maximum punishment allowed under law. The judge, in announcing his decision, criticized Murray for his lack of remorse and refusal to accept responsibility for his role in Jackson’s death, and said the doctor became involved in “a cycle of horrible medicine” in his dealings with the pop star.

If a bite of food is too hot, quickly take a swallow of water or another cold drink. If that's impossible or doesn't help, quickly remove the scalding food with your utensil (preferably not with your fingers & not into your napkin), & put it on the edge of the plate. The same goes for a bad oyster or clam, or any food that tastes spoiled: Remove it from your mough as quickly & unobtrusively as you can.
If you love traveling for the holidays consider doing your shopping online & have the gifts shipped to your destination. Make sure someone knows they're coming & they know not to open the package until you arrive.

Muzzy:
1a: Dull, gloomy. b: No clear or precise. 2: Muddled or confused in mind.
You get that muzzy feeling after taking codeine products, & they can actually give you a mild headache, too.
"Muzzy" is believed to have been formed by combining 2 other words that can mean "unclear" or "confused": "muddled" & "fuzzy." It can refer to a state of mind like that of a drunk person, or to the confused ramblings that come out of such a person's moouth. Rudyard Kipling used the former meaning in his story "The Mutiny of the Mavericks" (1891): "Mulcahy confused the causes of things, & when a very muzzy Maverick smote a sergeant on the nose or called his commanding officer a bald-headed old lard-bladder & even worse names, he fancied that rebellion & not liquor was at the bottom of the outbreak."
