SEASONS has been released! :D It's downloading now ... I can't wait! Finally, snow, rain, spring, summer, autumn, winter ... it's all here! WEATHER in the Sims! Isn't Sunset Valley beautiful when it's snow-covered? And now the game gets even more realistic. WOOHOO! :D Yesterday was a productive day that started with cleaning the bathroom sink, Windexing the bedroom mirror, feeding the cats & dogs, straightening the dining room chairs, & checking the alarm system. I checked eBay & then settled down into my massage chair to work out the kinks from the week while I played 5 Card Slingo. Drove Josh to work & bought an Arm Roast (cows don't have arms damnit!) & got the roast going in the slow cooker for dinner
later. I completed another panel on the knitting machine & got it connected to the afghan & I think I was off by 1 panel the last time I posted. I said I had 2 to go, right? I was wrong, NOW I have 2 to go. 1 more thin red panel & 1 more wide white panel that will be folded in half to form the right edge. Then I crochet the top & bottom edgings & I'm done! After that I checked the mail & Twitter & then it was
Sims time. I've completed the upstairs closet & bathroom that are off of bedroom 3 in LizC864 11. Then I loaded up one of my creations, Tahoe Pines. My 1st gen Sim Olivia met & married Kurt Shallow at work. They had a son, Michael Shallow (2nd gen). He's a loner, friendly, a Libra who likes pop, Vegetarian Dim Sum, the color grey, & is a snob. He's only in grade school so far & we (Michael & I) have no idea what he's going to be yet when he grows up. When Pete got
home we had an amazing Arm roast with potatoes & carrots, watched Hawaii 5-0 & then went to bed. When I woke up, Kyle was at school, Josh was at a friend's house, & Pete was at work. SIMS! :) This time I loaded up my creation, LizC864 5. My 3rd gen Sim is going to be a master of the arts. He's artistic, perceptive, a Sagittarius who likes Egyptian music, fried peanut butter & banana sandwiches, & the color green. He's never nude & a virtuoso (given to him after he decided to become master of the arts based on his artistic trait). He met Deborah Chen at school & they were best friends when he aged up into high school. One problem, she never aged up. She's stuck. There have been a lot of game glitches lately. Sims I meet in school getting stuck as permanent children, Sims I marry never being added to the household & I'm given no choice of moving to their home or staying in mine (I have to use cheats to add them to the household & the 1st time I want to move after I marry, it's going to be a lot of hassle going into edit town & moving households around IF I know where my new spouse lives. I hope EA gets this bug ironed out soon. Hopefully with the install of Seasons. Anyway, since Deborah never aged up, he had to meet someone new after starting high school & is probably going to marry Shante Knapp. Shante lives in Remington, my FAVORITE house of all the houses in all the towns. Even though this game is for LizC864 5, I'm going to retire that house permanently & move to Remington. I only have 1 other game taking place in Remington, so it's worth it. :) Did I mention I love that house? Anyway, during the game I get a call from my son & there's more bad stuff I need to deal with concerning the school. Nothing my son did wrong, but there's a teacher there that's doing things that are WRONG. When I say wrong, I mean I called the PD today. That's how bad it's getting. I picked Kyle up from school a little while ago & am just getting started on the things I SHOULD be doing. Sorry, got distracted in Sims for the 1st half of the day. Now I'm running late & it's 100% my fault, so I can't complain. I do however, need to apologize to the FD because tonight is maintenance night & there's just no way I'm going to make it. Yes, I was irresponsible today. A child playing a game all day when I should have been working. Oops! What is it people say these days? "My bad".

Being "well traveled" doesn't mean you've been to __________, the municipal dump, & __________.

"Chris Gaines," Garth Brooks' rock alter ego, performs on Saturday Night Live (1999):
If you were entirely out of touch with the contemporary music scene in the fall of 1999, you could still have tuned into most episodes of Saturday Night Live during its 25th season and recognized the names of musical guests like David Bowie, Sting and R.E.M. But even those with a finger on the pulse of all things musical could easily have drawn a blank when it came to the guest on one particular episode: On November 13, 1999, the host of Saturday Night Live was the country-music giant Garth Brooks, but the musical guest that night was a rocker by the name of Chris Gaines—a musician few but Garth Brooks himself had ever even heard of.
According to his official biography, Chris Gaines was a former Grammy-winner and seasoned rock veteran staging a mid-career comeback nearly 10 years after a string of hits in the 1980s with songs that included collaborations with Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan, among others. In fact, "Chris Gaines" was Garth Brooks in a black wig and a glued-on soul patch—the biggest country-music star in the world pursuing his dreams of being a rock star in the guise of a highly developed alter-ego.
Garth Brooks had never made a secret of his love of rock and roll. He spoke openly of being influenced by the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Freddie Mercury, for instance, and he'd contributed a totally faithful version of Kiss's 1976 hit "Hard Luck Woman" under his own name on the 1994 album of KISS covers, Kiss My Ass: Classic Kiss Regrooved. But when he decided he wanted to release a full-blown pop album, he also decided he needed to do so under an assumed identity.
In his appearance on Saturday Night Live on this day in 1999, Brooks played it completely straight, remaining in character as "Chris Gaines" while performing the song "Way Of The Girl" and reverting to his regular identity during the evening's comedy sketches. The appearance was part of a major publicity push undertaken by Brooks to promote the recently released "Chris Gaines" pop album Garth Brooks in...The Life of Chris Gaines, which was itself originally intended to be followed by a Hollywood film starring Brooks in the role of the fictional Gaines. The latter project never got off the ground, however, and the entire Chris Gaines experiment has become a topic of easy ridicule for entertainment critics in the years since. Garth Brooks...In The Life of Chris Gaines, did, however, launch the "Chris Gaines" single "Lost In You" into the Billboard Top 40, giving the man who sold upwards of 100 million country records during the 1990s alone his one and only pop hit.

Cogent:
1: Having power to compel or constrain. 2a: Appealing forcibly to the mind or reason : convincing. 2b: Pertinent or relevant.
At the town meeting, citizens presented many cogent arguments in support of building a new high school.
"Trained, knowledgeable agents make cogent suggestions ... that make sense to customers." That comment, from the president of a direct marketing consulting company, provides a nice opportunity to point out the etymological relationship between the words "cogent" & "agent." "Agent" derives from the Latin verb agere, meaning "to drive," "to lead," or "to act." Adding the prefix co- to agere gave Latin cogere, a word that literally means "to drive together," which led to the English "cogent." Something that is cogent figuratively pulls together thoughts & ideas, & the cogency of an argument depends on the driving intellectual force behind it.

If you talk to Dave Ramsey's wife, Sharon, & know her well enough to get her to open her purse, you would find a deluxe envelope system from the Dave Ramsey bookstore. She carries one of those envelope systems in her purse & uses it every day. They still do a written budget every month. Why? Because they are spiritually responsible for handling that money well. It's not a freaky thing. It's just a matter of common sense. They just want their money to do what it's supposed to do.

In public & in private, touchy-feelers treat dates like cuddly toys - stroking, hugging, squeezing, & hanging on when it's not welcome. Lacking all awareness of personal space, touchy-feelers apparently never learned the difference between a comfortable physical gesture & incessant grabbing, grasping, & groping.

In what military conflict did a woman lead U.S. troops into combat for the first time?
The U.S. invasion of Panama in 1989. U.S. Army Captain Linda Bray commanded 30 MPs in a fierce firefight against Panamanian soldiers defending a huge weapons cache. (Women can't what?)

Keep only the in-season coats in the closet. Keep out of season coats in another closet or in a bin somewhere else in the home. This keeps the closet manageable so you have room for guests' coats & the closet isn't overcrowded so you can always find your coat too!
