Good morning! Finally catching up & not only got EVERYTHING done yesterday, but even also caught up on some crafting AND went on a FD call! Yesterday after Pete went to work & I blogged, I went straight to work on eBay, checked facebook, settled down in my massage chair for some 5 Card Slingo, machine knitted, did monthly cleaning, took a shower, loaded up Sims (It's been a LONG time) & completed a bathroom in Breckenridge & then loaded up my creation; Sapphire Point & placed it in Paradise beach ...
which didn't work & I ended up having to scrap the game & start over in a more established town. My Sim is going to be a CEO & she couldn't go to work. Some glitch with Curtis' business building, can't get in! I ended up placing Sapphire Point in Riverview & started out in the summer. I created Misty (1st gen., shown at left). She's a computer whiz, insane, a daredevil who is rebellious, & a heavy sleeper. Her
dream is to become a CEO. She likes spaghetti w/ veggie sauce, custom music, & the color blue. She's a Taurus. Her furry companion (1st gen) is shown at left). She's an American Wirehair who is neat, skittish, & quiet. After Misty found a job on the laptop, she discovered her boss was Henry McGlum. She called him & chatted for a while, then invited him over & before the day was over they were engaged. After
work the next day she invited him over again & they were married. Henry moved into Sapphire Point with Misty (shown at left). They adopted a kitten named Mura & Misty is currently expecting a child. Somewhere in the middle of the game we got toned out to a med call & after we got back to the station I got the mail & paid a bill. Then I headed out to run an errand & we ended up getting toned out again, but I couldn't make that one. A MVA involving a motorcycle w/ 2 people on it. When I got back from my errand I finished the game for the day, planned dinner, & sent Pete a grocery list. After that I settled down on the sofa to do some needlepoint until Pete got home from work. After that it was the nighttime routine which included a new episode of Dallas & Monday Mornings. We were too tired to watch Hawaii 5-0. We got to bed later than I had hoped, but Monday nights are like that because 3 shows we watch are on Monday night & we end up excited & watching more TV than we normally would. I cut my sleep short again last night because I wanted an early start on today. There's a lot to do, a lot to make up, AND a FD meeting tonight. It's going to be a tight one today. So far I've checked My AT&T page & here I am. :) Pete checked out the "great deal" on the car & it turned out to be a lease. They don't tell you that when they're advertizing their "great price". Not only is it a lease, but there are fees all over the place & if you drive more than a few miles a day, you're screwed. NEVER lease a vehicle. It's not worth it. Josh bought a car & he'll be able to drive himself to & from work once he gets insurance & tags. As for me, that motorcycle I was looking at ... I spoke to the dealer & there is NO discount for paying cash. What?! Since when?? Not only that, TT&L add $1,500. How do you get an additional $1,500 for tax on $4k, title, & license? If I buy one, it won't be from THAT dealer! I'm also still a little nervous though about the whole thing. People don't see my big bright red truck, I KNOW they don't see motorcycles, & that MVA involving a motorcycle yesterday could have been a sign. I've always wanted one, but I also want to live ... not have any broken bones, & also keep the skin on my body. I'm thinking about it. It's nice to know I finally can IF I decide to. LCFD business meeting tonight.
After the check arrives, tell your co-worker how honored you are that he or she took you to lunch for no particular reason - & that you'll be happy to pay the tip.
Ditch private mortgage insurance. If you buy your home with a down payment of less than 20%, you're typically required to pay for private mortgage insurance (PMI). It's canceled automatically when the loan balance is reduced to 78% of the home's value. But the law also requires that lenders terminate the insurance at the borrower's request when the balance hits 80%. With PMI rates ranging from .5-2.5% of the total loan, an early cancellation could mean a significant chunk of change. Potential savings: $1,500/yr on a $300,000 mortgage.

On this day in 2010, professional golfer Tiger Woods gives a televised
news conference in which he apologizes for his marital infidelities and
admits to “selfish” and “foolish” behavior. The 34-year-old Woods, one
of the greatest players in the history of golf as well as one of the
world’s highest-paid athletes, read a scripted statement at PGA
headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida,
before a pre-selected audience that included his mother but not his
Swedish-born wife, Elin Nordegren. Members of the media were present but
were not allowed to ask questions.
Woods’ statement marked the first time he had spoken publicly since crashing his car into a fire hydrant and tree near his home in Windermere, Florida, an Orlando suburb, around 2:30 a.m. on November 27, 2009. The low-speed, single-car crash left him briefly hospitalized. Nordegren reportedly told police she heard the crash from the couple’s home, went outside and smashed the rear window of Woods’ Cadillac Escalade in an attempt to extricate him. After the accident, Woods initially declined to speak with Florida Highway Patrol officers and issued no immediate public statement, sparking rumors and speculation about why he was leaving his house at that hour. At the time of the incident, a tabloid newspaper was reporting allegations that Woods had cheated on his wife.
In the days and weeks following the car crash, Woods saw his stellar reputation shattered as more than a dozen young women came forward to publicly claim they had been romantically involved with the married golfer, who wed Nordegren in 2004. Woods and his wife met in 2001, while she was working as a nanny for Swedish golf pro Jesper Parnevik.
On December 2, 2009, Woods issued a statement on his Web site requesting privacy from the public while he dealt with unspecified “personal failings.” A little over a week later, on December 11, it was announced he was taking an indefinite leave from competitive golf. He reportedly went on to spend time in rehab for sexual addiction. As the scandal continued to unfold in the media, Woods, a golf child prodigy who at age 21 became the youngest-ever Masters champion and went on to earn millions of dollars annually in endorsement deals, was dropped by some of his corporate sponsors, including AT&T and Accenture; others, notably Nike, continued their contracts with Woods.
On April 8, 2010, less than two months after Woods’ apology-filled Florida news conference, he returned to professional golf by competing in the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. The event received widespread coverage, and Woods finished the tournament tied for fourth place.
Four months later, in August, Woods and his wife officially divorced. Nordegren, with whom Woods has two children, reportedly received a $100 million settlement.
