Good morning! I hope all of you had as good a day as I did yesterday. Perfect day & then some! After finishing my blog I went in the living room & relaxed w/ my cross stitching for a while. After that it was off to work on eBay for a bit & I'm happy to report that I have bids coming in. When the mailman came I went through the mail & then checked facebook & took my game turns for the day. Then it was back to happily crafting. I worked on my knitting machine
for a bit & then went through my Avon delivery & new catalogs that came. I would have liked to have a chili cheese dog for lunch but didn't have everything I needed to make one so I settled for a cheese dog instead. I checked Pinterest & then loaded up Sims. Just as the game was loading I got a call from Kyle. His ride never showed so I went up into Princeton to pick him up & bring him home. When we got back I
created the kitchen & breakfast nook in Breckenridge (3rd pic) & then loaded up my Medical profession game (2nd pic). My current Sim (2nd gen) aged up into a teen & gained the green thumb trait. That would be useful except for the fact that he's going to be a doctor & will spend all his time working on his logic skill (which is already at level 7 or 8 out of 10) & once he gets married, starts a family, starts his job, & has to read the medical journals he comes home with from work ... I don't see much time for gardening. maybe after I start playing his child (3rd gen) he'll take some time to garden on weekends. I closed the game after a bit & did some quilt crocheting until Pete got home. Nighttime routine, bed, some bead banner crafting this morning, & here I am. A little short on sleep, but in a great mood from yesterday. I love it when I get everything done & even have time for EXTRA crafting at the end of the day. Bella's birthday today!
In the first military action in the 45-year history
of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), U.S. fighter planes
shoot down four Serbian warplanes engaged in a bombing mission in
violation of Bosnia's no-fly zone.
The United States, 10 European countries, and Canada founded NATO in 1949 as a safeguard against Soviet aggression. With the end of the Cold War,
NATO members approved the use of its military forces for peacekeeping
missions in countries outside the alliance and in 1994 agreed to enforce
U.N. resolutions enacted to bring about an end to the bloody conflict
in the former Yugoslavia. In 1994 and 1995, NATO planes enforced the
no-fly zone over Bosnia-Herzegovina and struck at Bosnian Serb military
positions and airfields on a number of occasions.
On December 20,
1995, NATO began the mass deployment of 60,000 troops to enforce the
Dayton peace accords, signed in Paris by the leaders of the former
Yugoslavia on December 14. The NATO troops took over from a U.N.
peacekeeping force that had failed to end the fighting since its
deployment in early 1992, although the U.N. troops had proved crucial in
the distribution of humanitarian aid to the impoverished population of
Bosnia. The NATO force, with its U.S. support and focused aim of
enforcing the Dayton agreement, proved more successful in maintaining
the peace in the war-torn region.
A thousand-mile journey begins w/ the 1st step & can only be taken 1 step at a time.

How many of you heard the president's speech this morning? Be honest. These things intrigue me. One of the most critical events in our country. How many didn't hear it because you were too busy counting the nooks & crannies in Mrs. Thomas's English muffins? -Johnny Carson 1982

Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs.
Which of these 2 habits could shave the most time off your life?
(a) Watching TV
(b) Smoking
Answer: (a). Accounting to a surprising new analysis of health records published in October, ever hour that an adult over 25 spends sitting & watching television can cut about 22 minutes from his or her life span; smoking a cigarette reduces life span by about 11 minutes. The reason, according to the scientists who conducted the study, is that hours of sitting lead to an increased risk of diabetes & heart disease & so may have an even greater impact on longevity than smoking.
