Good morning! Today I started my 2013 Creative Pay It Forward post on facebook. Our Aunt Lynne posted it 1st. I replied & then posted it to my page: "2013 CREATIVE PAY-IT FORWARD...
The first five (5) friends to comment on this status will receive a gift from me sometime in the next calendar year .... Perhaps a book, baked goodie, candle, music, craft... a surprise! There likely will be no warning and it will happen when the mood strikes me. THE CATCH? Those five people MUST make the same offer on their Facebook status. :)" I was the 1st response on Aunt Lynne's post & Eve was the 1st response on mine. So far, Aunt Lynne sends to me & I send to Eve. Should be fun! The last time I

So far, Aunt Lynne sends to me & I send to Eve. Should be fun! The last time I
tried something like this I got totally screwed, but that was with strangers. It wasn't creative either, you spend money & send something out to the person you're assigned from Amazon or some other company, based on the theme or their interests. I participated twice. The 1st time, I sent immediately & then didn't receive anything (the person you send to is different from the person you receive from). I waited until the deadline & then
sent a message to the coordinator. I was assigned a regifter who did send me something REALLY COOL. The 2nd time I signed up, I sent immediately & again, didn't receive anything. I again waited until the deadline, sent a message to the coordinator, but this time there were no more regifters available ... so to this day, almost a year later, I still received nothing & never will. Needless to say, I didn't sign up again even though it was a REALLY cool idea (if I didn't keep getting screwed). What I like about this facebook thing is that we all know each other. I would love to coordinate an exchange on a much larger scale like the one I participated in on the other site, but not yet. Let's see how this one goes 1st. This cold Pete & I have is really kicking out butts. We thought we were getting better, but the cold came BACK full force. It's so bad that Pete called in to work today because he's got a fever. He's still in bed. I slept 9 hours & don't feel all that stellar myself. If we get toned out today, I can't go. I'm just not well enough. Since the day before yesterday I did 8 chores & the kids did none, I took yesterday off too & left it all on them since they owed me & the household. Josh did ALL of his chores & Kyle did all but 2 of his. Because of that, Kyle will have 2 more than the Josh & I today. Instead of 5/5/5, it will be 4/4/7 leaning on Kyle. After assigning yesterday's chores I went to work on eBay & then showered up to go pick Josh up from work & get breakfast at Dunkin' Donuts. When we got back I watched some Live TV on my iPhone, the FD got toned out to an unauthorized burn, & I had a hot dog for lunch. I relaxed by working on the knitting machine while watching Charmed & then checked Twitter & Woot!. I loaded up Sims & was finally able to upload Sapphire Point. You can now find it in the exchange. I started Breckenridge & shown is the 2-car garage which has the Tofunda Wagon & the cheapest clunker available. After I completed the garage I loaded up Glenborough & started that game off in the winter. I love Winter in the Sims ... so beautiful! My 3rd gen Sim Neo never went to 1 day of high school. I have the teen years set to 4 days & we had 4 snow days in a row. He graduated & has a lifetime wish of Physical Perfection. He's already level 6 of the martial arts skill & level 1 of the Athletic skill. Neo is working on building a relationship with a friend of his from school but they're not dating yet. When Pete got home I started dinner & wow did I overeat yesterday! Between eating breakfast, lunch, AND dinner, & eating a LOT for dinner at that ... I was WAY over my caloric intake for the day. I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, french fries, mozzarella sticks, & chocolate truffles. While we were watching TV I had an additional Sargento cheese stick. Add to that breakfast & lunch & all the chocolate milks & Dr Peppers. I WAAAY overate. We watched our Thursday night lineup which consisted of 2½ Men, Big Bang Theory, & Elementary & then headed off to bed at 1:30a. City Council Meeting & LCFD Maintenance Tuesday.

In 1518, a particularly strange outbreak of plague happened in Strasbourg, France. Hundreds of people took to dancing maniacally for days without rest & many eventually died of heart attack, stroke, or exhaustion.

On January 4, 2006, University of Texas
quarterback Vince Young makes an eight-yard touchdown run on fourth
down with 19 seconds left in the game, capping one of the best
individual performances in college football history while leading his
team to a Rose Bowl victory and a national championship title over the
University of Southern California (USC).
The
2006 Rose Bowl boasted one of the most anticipated match-ups in college
football history. USC and Texas entered the game with winning streaks
of 34 and 19 games respectively; USC was the PAC-10 and the defending
national champions, while Texas had come out on top of the Big 12 and
was the defending champion of the Rose Bowl.
Some
commentators held that the 2005-06 USC Trojans--led by two Heisman
Trophy winners, quarterback Matt Leinart (2004) and running back Reggie
Bush (2005)--was possibly the greatest team ever to play college
football, and most believed that the Trojans’ punishing offense would
put them on top in the Rose Bowl.
The
Longhorns fumbled a play in the opening minutes of the game, leading to
a USC recovery and touchdown. In the second quarter, Bush ran for 37
yards on a pass play but then threw a desperate lateral pass to a
teammate while being tackled. He fumbled, and Texas recovered the ball.
The possession ended in a field goal, cutting USC’s lead to four points.
The Longhorns scored two touchdowns in the quarter, helped out by a
Leinart interception, and by halftime had built a 16-10 lead. The lead
changed hands three times in the third quarter, and on the first play of
the fourth, with USC up 24-23, Texas kicker David Pino missed a field
goal attempt that would have put his team ahead by two. Two USC
touchdowns (and a Texas field goal) gave the Trojans their biggest lead
of the night, 38-26, with 6:42 left in the game.
The
next Texas drive was all Young, as he took just 2:39 to go 69 yards,
rushing for 25 of those, including a 17-yard touchdown run, and
completing five passes. A Pino extra point put the Longhorns within five
points of the Trojans, with 3:58 to play. On his team’s next
possession, on fourth-and-2 at the Texas 45-yard line, USC Coach Pete
Carroll made a risky decision: Instead of going for the field goal, he
told his team to run for the touchdown. White was only able to gain a
yard, however, and Texas got the ball back with 2:09 left. Faced with a
third-and-12, Texas got a first down with the help of a Trojans
face-mask penalty, setting up Young’s game-winning eight-yard touchdown
run on fourth down, with 19 seconds left to play.
As
Texas celebrated their come-from-behind 41-38 win, Young (who had
finished second to Bush in the 2005 Heisman voting) was named MVP of the
game, having completed 30 of 40 passes (75 percent) for a total of 267
yards. He also rushed 19 times for 200 yards, scoring three touchdowns
and a two-point conversion. After deciding to forgo his last year of
college eligibility, Young was selected by the Tennessee Titans as the No. 3 overall draft pick in the 2006 National Football League (NFL) draft.
