Good morning! It looks like my schedule rewrite was a success, if I remove the 3 hours I worked on rearranging it yesterday, I would have made training. I would have been an hour late, but I would have made it which is much better than usual. I think I finally did it! And I wasn't stressed or racing the clock either. I try not to do that anymore. I was always racing the clock, not good. I've decided that I might as well not worry about it. Just enjoy the moment, enjoy what I'm currently doing, & stop staring at the clock & trying to go double-time all the time. Yesterday was nice. While I was blogging the mail came so I took care of that as soon as I was done, made my last Carnation Instant Breakfast, & crocheted (which is now DAILY 6 days a week). Why not? It's something I dearly love to do, so why not do it more often? When the kids are grown & you work from home, one of the perks is that you SHOULD have time to do what you love ... so I decided to crochet more & crochet early. Early is so I don't run out of time before the end of the day which I normally do. This way, other things get bumped off the schedule, but I still got my crocheting time in. I'm relaxed, I'm happy, life is good. After crocheting I dusted the bathroom lights, cleaned the bedroom mirror & dining table, processed a book out of my inbox & into my bookshelf, watered the living room plant, mopped the bathroom, dusted my office wall decor, fed the pets, & swept the living room. I checked one of my sale Websites for a good sale that I can flip on eBay. I really need to flip higher priced items because low-priced items can't be flipped even if they're free! I found something for 97% off ... the cost was .16c. Now you'd think you can flip that for a profit, right? WRONG! I did all the math. .16c + shipping came to $5 & change. Original price was $6. That only left me under a dollar to mark it up assuming I asked full retail. Then there's shipping back out, eBay fee, & PayPal fee. When it was all done, I would have been asking almost triple the retail price just to make $1 profit. So much for a great sale, 97% off, & a .16c price tag. If you plan on flipping the item on eBay, you NEED a higher priced item to begin with. I turned my office TV on to some channel I wasn't familiar with & there was a show on called Doc. The 1st thing I noticed was that it starred Billy Ray Cyrus. Cool! Not a bad show, I like it. I did my thing on eBay for a while, took the dogs out, then went to work. I finally figured out my new business e-mail address, got my personal Yahoo e-mail cleared out, cleaned out my Yahoo contact list, added my business e-mail address to my personal Yahoo account so i can easily check it, tested it, figured it all out & finally received my test message & then started up the business PayPal account for the new business.  URL ... check. eBay account ... check. PayPal account ... check. Step 1 of each is now complete. Today I start actually putting content on the Web site, tomorrow on the eBay profile page, & we'll see what else from there. I can't wait to actually start selling & see how that goes! Once I finished with the new business for the day, I went to work on my eBay business. I got a bunch of stuff listed. Once work was over for the day I checked in on family & friends on facebook, took most of my game turns, & then Pete came home. We had Omaha steaks w/ homemade mashed potatoes for dinner & settled into our nighttime routine. My Sim-self served food at the party table for her weekly party, spent time with the pets, showered, bought new wall decor for the dining room & took a photo of it, spent time w/ Sim-Pete, made some money hacking for a short time (she was hungry & tired), had leftovers from the party table, & went to bed. Back IRL the FD got toned out to a med call just after 4 in the morning. I heard it, I was vaguely aware of it, I woke up HOLDING the pager in bed ... but couldn't remember much about the call. I guess I was tired! That's the 1st time I woke up with the FD pager in my hand. Odd! I took the dogs out, did my banking for the day, & here I am. My Sim-self checked for weekly events & is going to take the Sim-cats to the Great Cat Roundup at the cat park this Saturday, cleaned the house & made a hamburger for lunch. Back IRL, Easter this Sunday.

FDA approves Viagra (1998):
On this day in 1998, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approves use of the drug Viagra, an oral medication that treats impotence.
Sildenafil, the chemical name for Viagra, is an artificial compound that was originally synthesized and studied to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina pectoris (a form of cardiovascular disease). Chemists at the Pfizer pharmaceutical company found, however, that while the drug had little effect on angina, it could induce penile erections, typically within 30 to 60 minutes. Seeing the economic opportunity in such a biochemical effect, Pfizer decided to market the drug for impotence. Sildenafil was patented in 1996, and a mere two years later–a stunningly short time compared to other drugs–it was approved by the FDA for use in treating "erectile dysfunction," the new clinical name for impotence. Though unconfirmed, it is believed the drug was invented by Peter Dunn and Albert Wood.
Viagra's massive success was practically instantaneous. In the first year alone, the $8-$10 pills yielded about a billion dollars in sales. Viagra's impact on the pharmaceutical and medical industries, as well as on the public consciousness, was also enormous. Though available by prescription only, Viagra was marketed on television, famously touted by ex-presidential candidate Bob Dole, then in his mid-70s. Such direct-to-consumer marketing was practically unprecedented for prescription drugs (now, sales and marketing account for approximately 30 percent of the pharmaceutical industry's costs, in some cases more than research and development). The drug was also offered over the internet–customers needed only to fill out an "online consultation" to receive samples.
An estimated 30 million men in the United States suffer from erectile dysfunction and a wave of new Viagra competitors, among them Cialis (tadalafil) and Levitra (vardenafil), has blown open the market. Drug companies are now not just targeting older men like Dole, but men in their 30s and 40s, too. As with many drugs, the long-term effects of Viagra on men's health are still unclear (Viagra does carry warnings for those who suffer from heart trouble), but its popularity shows no signs of slowing. To date, over 20 million Americans have tried it, and that number is sure to increase as the baby boomer population continues to age.

Inside-out approach says if you want to have a happy marriage, be the kind of person who generates positive energy & sidesteps negative energy rather than empowering it. If you want to have a more pleasant, cooperative teenager, be a more understanding, empathic, consistent, loving parent. If you want to have more freedom, more latitude in your job, be a more responsible, a more helpful, a more contributing employee. If you want to be trusted, be trustworthy. If you want the secondary greatness of recognized talent, focus 1st on the primary greatness of character.
