I had a perfect day yesterday but it wasn't without its downside. part of the reason I got everything done was because I skipped something that I did twice the day before & a computer crash made me finish class in half the time. I hate essays & the classes I take are an essay a day. Well, I was about 2/3 of the way through yesterday's essay & my computer hosed itself again. I was unable to recover the essay & there was NO WAY I was going to type all that AGAIN. I still have to, but it wasn't going to happen yesterday. I had other things to do & that would have destroyed the rest of my day. What the heck are essays for anyway? We prove we know they answer by taking a test. An essay feels like "I" am teaching the class. Here's your answer, & here's 3 pages of WHY the answer is what it is. I'm paying THEM & I'm teaching the class. That's how essays feel to me. Anyway ... have to rewrite the damn thing today & now I'm a day behind in my class. It's not timed by the school, I have 6 months to complete the class. It's timed by ME because I have things to do & dragging out this class isn't helping me get stuff done. At least I got to relax in Sims. My journalist who lives in Bridgeport had a baby boy last night & I named him Edward just to drive my daughter nuts. After that I built & decorated another room on my new house. Last night it was the library. A nice floor lamp, bookshelf, roll-top desk, chair, cheap PC, & an easel placed between 2 windows for inspiration while painting. Speaking of painting & crafts ... I really miss my knitting machine. I'm thinking of saving up & buying another one. I have NO IDEA what's wrong with the one I have. I've tried everything to get it to work again after many years of use, but it just won't. I've cleaned it, oiled it, waxed it ... it still runs very rough & jams every inch or so. I guess I can't complain, I DID use the crap out of it. For many many years I used it sometimes almost every day! That's it ... I'm replacing it. This is going to leave a small financial ding ... but damn I miss that thing! I think a nice table to affix it to is going to cost me more than the knitting machine! What I need to do is find someone who knows how to build stuff. I need a table of a very specific size. 3' long by 2' high by about 1' deep. Busy weekend coming up! If Pete gets off work early today, we can go to one of the places TONIGHT!

McCann’s disappearance generated widespread media coverage in Europe and beyond. English soccer star David Beckham made a televised plea for her safe return, and “Harry Potter” author J.K. There was speculation that the McCanns, in order to enjoy an evening out, had given their children sedatives and that Madeleine had a fatal reaction to the dosage she received. Afterward, the McCanns faked her abduction and hid her body for weeks before transferring it to the trunk of their rental car. Gerry and Kate McCann labeled this theory ridiculous, particularly given the fact that they were under intense media scrutiny and constantly followed by reporters. The local Portuguese police chief later admitted that the DNA tests were inconclusive.

Bike riding.
Bikes are fun, & a great way to get where you need to go. But being on a bicycle doesn't exempt you from the safety & courtesies of a pedestrian. Here are 5 tips to remember while riding around:
- Wear your helmet.
- Use a bike basket or back pack strapped on correctly for carrying things.
- Ride single file, if you're riding with others.
- WATCH OUT for vehicles, other pedestrians, & obstacles.
